Joe Exotic’s life partner says the “Tiger King” star is in a prison isolation during the coronavirus outbreak.
Joe, real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage, is best known for running an illegal zoo. He is the subject of a Netflix series about his life as an exotic animal trainer.
In an interview with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM radio, Dillan Passage said Joe, who was sentenced to 22 years for murder, was transferred to another prison and placed in isolation during the coronavirus pandemic.
Passage said he spoke to Joe about three times a day on the phone before he was transferred to another prison.
“We speak like three to five times every day,” Dillan told Andy, “but since he’s been moved to this new facility they are putting him on like, COVID-19 isolation because of the previous jail he was at, there were cases.”
When asked if he was “still in love” with Joe, Passage said: “I do love Joe, you know, he’s been there for me during my darkest times. I’m not just gonna dip out and abandon him when he needs me most.”
According to The Blast, Passage revealed he met Joe on the ghey male hookup app Grindr and that he was addicted to prescription medications at the time but he is now sober.
Passage confirmed Joe made all of his ‘husbands’ pierce their nipples.
He said he never witnessed any animal abuse at the zoo.
