A scorned orthodontist was charged with attempted murder after she stabbed her ex-fiancé’s girlfriend in the neck then acted like a Good Samaritan.

Police say Dr. Alika Crew hid in the back of the victim’s Jeep on the morning of July 28 in New Rochelle, New York.

The victim had spent the night with Crew’s ex-fiancé, identified as Kurtz Howell. Crew and Howell lived in the same neighborhood.

When the victim started the car and drove off, Crew began stabbing her in the neck, the New York Post reported.

Crew then posed as a medic rendering aid to the 30-year-old victim when police arrived. The victim advised police that the woman rendering aid was in fact the person who stabbed her.

“It was also determined that the suspect’s ex-fiancé is the current boyfriend of the victim,” New Rochelle Capt. Cosmo Costa said.

The victim suffered a “deep puncture wound” on the left side of her neck from a razor blade, according to the Post. Her injuries required surgery.

The 41-year-old dentist is charged with felony attempted murder in the second degree.

Crew, who works out of dentist’s office in Stamford, CT, is a resident of New Rochelle, NY. She is also affiliated with a dental practice in Jackson Heights, Queens, CBS2 reports.

The prominent dentist purchased a split-level townhouse in New Rochelle for $800,000 18 months ago, CBS2 reports.

Crew was arraigned in court on July 28. A judge set bail at $150,000. Her next court date is August 19.
