As Covid-19 continues to surge and overwhelm hospitals in NY and California, many are pondering the riddle: Where have all the flu cases gone?
A top epidemiologist says the answer is simple: flu cases are now being counted as Covid-19.
“Influenza has been renamed COVID in large part,” epidemiologist Knut Wittkowski told Just the News on Thursday.
“There may be quite a number of influenza cases included in the ‘presumed COVID’ category of people who have COVID symptoms… Those patients “also may have some SARS RNA sitting in their nose while being infected with Influenza, in which case the influenza would be ‘confirmed’ to be COVID.”
Dr. Anthony Fauci, aka Dr. Doom, predicts “The worst is yet to come” and “Our darkest days in the battle against Covid-19 are ahead of us.”
Yet Fauci fails to mention that influenza typically peaks between December and February. In fact, there is very little mention of influenza at all in the mainstream media these days.
Isn’t it odd that they explain away the lack of flu cases by saying more people are wearing masks and social distancing?
Yet “dark days are ahead” because not enough people are wearing masks and social distancing.
An L.A. Times article from 2018 used the same apocalyptic language to describe influenza cases that are now being used to describe Covid.
Just replace the word “flu” with “Covid-19” in the article.
“Hospitals across the state are sending away ambulances, flying in nurses from out of state and not letting children visit their loved ones for fear they’ll spread the flu. Others are canceling surgeries and erecting tents in their parking lots so they can triage the hordes of flu patients.”
