Takeoff‘s fans believe they know who shot the Migos rapper in Houston, Texas early Tuesday.
Takeoff, real name Kirshnik Ball, was shot at a private party hosted by Houston businessman J. Prince Jr. early Tuesday. The 28-year-old rapper was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene.
Cell phone video shows Migos rapper Quavo Marshall arguing with someone before gunshots ring out. It appears there were 2 shooters at the scene.
Internet sleuths scoured videos and photos. They pinpointed the moment a man dressed in a black ball cap and black clothing pulled out a handgun and fired in Takeoff’s direction.

A man dressed in similar clothing is pictured sitting behind Quavo in a car the same night.
The man was later identified as 24-year-old Migo Bands, an A&R manager for Quavo’s imprint label, Huncho Records.
Migo Bands is also a rapper who featured on Migos records and in multiple YouTube videos.
Fans say Quavo knows who killed his nephew, but he’s not snitching.
Takeoff’s fans flooded Migo Bands’ Instagram page, leaving accusations in nearly every post.
Quality Control Music issued a statement on Tuesday, saying Takeoff’s death was the result of “senseless violence and a stray bullet”.
Houston police, in a press statement on Tuesday, asked the public for help finding Takeoff’s killer(s). Police have no suspects in the shooting.
