According to Deadline.com. Sony has dumped fading star Jennifer Lopez from its artist roster.
The bland version of what happened, I’m told, is that the contract period had ended and that Lopez had fulfilled it with her last two singles, and that Lopez and Stringer decided together not to move forward with an album. Others insist the Sony label dropped her. There also is disagreement on how finished her upcoming album was before it was canceled. Internet reports say her 7th studio album, titled “Love?”, was supposed to come out in April and featured production from Danja, Jim Jonsin, Darkchild, Chris n Teeb from Dropzone, and The Neptunes among others. A song from it titled “Fresh Out The Oven” surfaced online in October 2009 as a buzz single and reached #1 on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Songs chart. But the official lead single, “Louboutins”, had its radio debut on November 23 following the song’s premiere and performance at the 2009 American Music Awards went to #31 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart. UPDATE: *The song was the Power Pick of the week twice, and rose to #13 on that chart.*

Good Mernting, SR FAM!!!
…okay, j/k, but for real, you got it; just do it like Nike!
Keep pushing, J-Lo! You’re very talented in many other aspects! Maybe you can start another Flyy Girls dance group…
she had an amazing ride but her time is up….
J-Lo BEEN outta there.. who cares???
Some other folks are going to get dropped from their record label if their albums don’t do well.
J Lo still makes music?
I never thought she could sing anyway….dance yeah, but sing…no.
Some of the talentless older artist don’t realize…if you can’t sing you can’t stay in the game. What what hot 10 yrs ago is not what’s hot today. The rule of the game is make your money and get out of the biz before they put you out. Same rule applies for Janet.
i dont think female artist get that once you get married, and definitely once you start having kids, you’re no longer sexy or relatable, not to a young 15-21 demographic..teenage mothers aside, but still.
in addition to that, we all know that music changes and JL is really not singing about anything interesting. her music career was a gimmick gone good. she was lucky. surely she’s not expecting to go any further with that luck. she has had one helluva career. like janet, now is the time to choose acting since people will want to work with you and master it. hire the best coach who will challenge you and make great movies.

J Lo still makes music?

I was wondering the same thing
No one is checking for JLo.
@Attorney Mom, I agree and I know one artist in particular but I don’t want to call her out on this site.
This doesn’t surprise me but I for one would love to see Jennifer restore her acting career. Her music, besides a few well produced bangers, left much to be desired.
Not surprised by this at all. She’s not the greatest singer but I must admit I did like a few of her songs. This just goes to show, looks will get you far.
how sad… jenny lo’s career RIP
Her vocals were always weak. I remember there was a live performance on TV and at the end of the song, she pulled the mic away all dramatic like she was bout to drop a MiMi note. Then came out with some ole shakey, off-key whisper note. lol
she didn’t need to be making records anyway.
This is what happens when you stop making money for a company. Stop being productive on YOUR jobs and see what happens. It’s business, it’s not personal.
Poor J-lo,
I’m sure she is wiping her tears with her millions
Do you Mami…can’t wait to see her next movie.
Just how she dropped her azz on the AMA’s, Sony did the same. SMH.
