Prosecutors will not press charges against Alabama Crimson Tide basketball star Brandon Miller who allegedly supplied the gun used in the murder of a single mom.
Ex-Alabama forward Darius Miles and 20-year-old Michael “Buzz” Davis are charged with capital murder for the shooting death of 23-year-old Jamea Harris.
Harris was fatally shot in her car following an argument at a nightclub near campus on Jan. 15.
Alabama guard Jaden Bradley was also at the scene that night, but he was not charged. Bradley was allowed to remain on the team. But Miles (pictured left and bottom left) was cut from the team after news of his arrest.
Video shows Miles sobbing loudly as police escorted the handcuffed player to a waiting patrol unit.

Miles, Davis and Harris were all at a nightclub on the Strip, a popular student hangout near campus. During the night, Miles and someone with Harris “apparently exchanged words.”
After leaving the club, Harris’ car was blocked in by another car and shots were fired, killing her.
Miller was at the scene of the crime and his car windshield was hit by gunfire. But his attorney insists Miller’s car didn’t block Harris’ car in.
The attorney said the murder weapon was left in the back seat of Miller’s car but it wasn’t his and he never touched it.
However, according to court documents, Miles texted Miller to bring him the gun. Police say Miles is the triggerman.
Alabama head coach Nate Oats said his star player was in the “wrong spot at the wrong time” and he did nothing wrong.
“We’ve known the situation. We’ve been fully cooperating with law enforcement. We closed practice in prayer today… You can’t control everything someone does,” said Oats.
Oats said his decision to let Miller play was “based on all the facts that we have gathered.”
Harris’ parents criticized Oats for letting Miller play.
Harris’ mother DeCarla Cotton said it’s “unimaginable” that Alabama allowed Miller to play the day after police said he provided the gun to Miles.
“It’s just unimaginable, and it’s like his life is just going on,” Cotton told USA TODAY Sports on Thursday. “He took a brief pause and it didn’t stop. It’s like, OK, slap on the wrist and go play ball.”
“They’re worried about his career, but what about this 5-year-old boy (Harris’ son, Kaine). He’s the true victim in all this. He won’t have a mother anymore to influence his growing up and who he’s going to be.”

“Coach Oats crossed the line,” Harris’ stepfather Kelvin Heard, told AL.com. “He said they prayed at practice. They weren’t praying for Jamea. They were praying for their own players.”
South Carolina fans booed and chanted “LOCK HIM UP!” every time Miller touched the ball on Wednesday.
Miller scored 41 points and led 2nd-ranked Alabama to a 78-76 victory over South Carolina.
