Former NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire slammed Black Lives Matter supporters for not speaking out after Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel over the weekend.
Hamas caught the Israeli Defense Force off guard with a surprise attack that included rocket launches and Hamas militants on paragliders early Saturday.
9 Americans were confirmed dead and an unknown number of Americans are being held hostage in Israel. Hundreds of Hamas militants also died in the fighting.
Stoudemire, who is Jewish, addressed the attacks in an Instagram video.
“I woke up this morning with some disturbing news out of Israel that Hamas (is) kidnapping children, putting them in cages, killing women, killing the elderly,” Stoudemire said. “That’s some coward s–t. That’s cowardly.”
He also called out BLM supporters for not speaking up against Hamas, according to Fox News.
“And for all y’all ‘Black Lives Matter’ (supporters) who ain’t saying nothing, (like) ‘Well, let me figure out exactly what happened before saying anything,’ f— you,” Stoudemire said. “Figure out what? It ain’t never been cool to kidnap kids and put them in cages, ain’t never been cool to kill women and (the) elderly. Never been, no matter where you’re from, what you represent, or trying to be. Don’t matter.”

The former New York Knicks star continued: “And then you go and hide and put the kids in front of you as a barricade. That’s some coward s–t. All you politicians who always have to say something on the contrary, I see you, f— you. All you ‘Black Lives Matter’ people who always have something to say and always support everything else and are quiet now, f— you too.”
“On my mama, we don’t respect none of y’all for that.”
Stoudemire, 40, played for 2 pro basketball teams in Israel from 2016-2020. In January 2019, he was granted residency in Israel. In March 2019, he received Israeli citizenship, and adopted the name Yahoshafat Ben Avraham.
He officially converted to Judaism in 2020. “I have been aware since my youth that I am a Hebrew through my mother, and that is something that has played a subtle but important role in my development,” said the former Phoenix Suns star.
Stoudemire’s mother was associated with the Black Hebrew Israelites, but he was raised Baptist.
