The trailer for Beverly Hills Cop 4 dropped today. Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F stars comedian Eddie Murphy as geriatric Detroit cop Axel Foley.
Murphy, 62, reprises his role as the wise-cracking cop who first visited Beverly Hills in 1984 to solve the murder of his best friend, Mikey.
Beverly Hills Cop was a smash hit and grossed over $230 million at the U.S. box office in 1984. Beverly Hills Cop II (1987) surpassed the original, grossing $299.97 million worldwide.
Beverly Hills Cop III (1994) grossed over $119.2 million worldwide in 1994.
In the 4th installment of the hit movie franchise, Axel and his daughter Jane (Taylour Paige) set out to investigate corruption in the Beverly Hills Police Department.
They hook up with Axel’s old friends, Sgt. Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton), as well as new partner Bobby Abbott (Joseph Gordon-Levitt).
Flamboyant former art gallery salesman-turned arms dealer Serge (Bronson Pinchot) is back after last starring in Beverly Hills III.
Kevin Bacon (Leave the World Behind) plays Captain Grant in the Beverly Hills PD.
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is scheduled for release on Netflix in mid-2024.
