Journalists are concerned that they may soon be replaced by AI-generated anchors and reporters who deliver news that is informative and unbiased.
Channel 1 showcases their AI-generated reporters in a slick new video. The anchors look real enough to be human.
The video, posted on Twitter/X on Dec. 12, has over 1.6 million views.

The station noted, “We have both fully generated and digital double anchors. All of the voices are generated.”
Journalists are justifiably nervous that AI-generated reporters may soon take their jobs.
One Twitter/X user asked Channel 1: “Is this a problem that needed solving? Is this adding any value into the world?”
Others complained that Channel 1 will use legacy news sources to “regurgitate” the news.
One user asked: “Will it be possible for it [to] break news stories first? What about investigative journalism, is it possible for AI like this to do investigative journalism?”

Biased algorithms will twist and eventually obliterate truth.
