Singer Jhené Aiko is the latest celebrity to lose their home in the devastating California wildfires. Jhené posted the news on social media Thursday morning.

Jhené said she lost the home in Pacific Palisades that she shared with her children. The family lost their house with all of their belongings inside.

The R&B singer shared an Instagram photo of her home engulfed in flames. She wrote: “My perfect little Pali dream sorry we couldn’t save you. Thank you for the memories and thank you God no one was inside. Praying for our neighbors and the whole wide world.”

In another post, she wrote: “me and my children’s home is gone. burned to the ground with all of our things inside. Lord have mercy. Thankful we still have each other starting from scratch. My heart is so heavy.”

A few fans called out Jhené for her post, saying it’s easier for her to rebuild because she’s rich. Jhené fired back on The Neighborhood Talk Instagram blog. She said years of hard work is gone in an instant — and she hopes her haters never have to experience a similar tragedy.

The Los Angeles native, 36, rose to fame as a dancer and backing singer for the R&B group B2K. She was signed by their record label, The Ultimate Group, in 2002 and was marketed as the “cousin” of B2K member Lil’ Fizz.

In an ironic twist, Jhene’s family home burned down when she was 7 years old.
