Dwight Howard’s wife of only 6 months has filed for divorce, according to court documents. Amber Rose Howard, also known as Amy Luciani, filed for divorce from the former NBA star on July 1 in Georgia, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
Luciani stated their marriage is “irretrievably broken” and “there are no prospects for reconciliation.”
Luciani, who is best known for her appearances on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” requested alimony and asked that all of their marital assets and property be “equitably divided.” She has scrubbed all of his photos and videos from her social media accounts.
The former couple went Instagram official in December 2024. LHHATL fans were shocked by the speed of their engagement – since they barely knew each other.
Luciani, 35, released a children’s book under her married name: Amber Rose Howard in 2025 and an album entitled Amy’s World in 2023.
Howard, 39, played 18 seasons in the NBA. Most of his career was spent with the Orlando Magic. He helped lead the team to the NBA Finals in 2009.
Howard also played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks and Charlotte Hornets. He won his first NBA title with the Lakers in 2020. The 2020 NBA championship is also known as the “NBA Bubble Title” because it was held inside a bio-secure bubble at Walt Disney World, and fake crowd noise was piped in.
Howard recently addressed rumors that he’s bisexual. “Hell no, I’m not ghey,” he said during a recent podcast appearance. “I’m not ghey at all,” he added.
The eight-time NBA All-Star has five children by 5 women.
