Cardi B confirms her gang affiliation in her new music video for her track “Imaginary Playerz.” The video was filmed in exotic locations from Paris to Greece.
Cardi brags about her riches and fashions in the song’s lyrics (“The sht these bitches be braggin’ about is like sht I was doin’ in like 2016.”)
She also drops multiple references to her affiliation as a Bloods gang member. She calls herself the “Brimcess” in reference to the Brims, a subset of the national Bloods street gang.
“Poor thing, Twitter must be gassin’ them heavy/ Makin’ them jump in the ring with the Brim before they ready,” she raps on the track.

In a 2018 interview with GQ magazine, Cardi B regretted being a member of the Bloods gang. She also cautioned young girls to avoid joining street gangs.

In 2018 she was arrested for directing Brim gang members to beat up 2 strip club employees. She pleaded guilty in 2022 to assault in the third-degree and reckless endangerment in the second-degree.
“Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions,” she told USA Today at the time.
“As a mother, it’s a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to. These moments don’t define me and they are not reflective of who I am now.”
