Sean Combs choked back tears while speaking to his youngest child on the phone following his sentencing last week.
According to TMZ, Combs spoke to baby Love by phone at a Brooklyn lockup after being sentenced to 50 months in prison on Friday, Oct. 3.
“I miss you, Daddy,” said Love, who turns 3 on October 15.
Combs became emotional, and told her, “I miss you and love you very much, Love.”
“Daddy’s away for a little while,” he added.

Love will be 5 years old when she sees her daddy in person again.
Love’s mother, Dana, attended Combs’ sentencing in a Manhattan courtroom, while Love stayed with a nanny at the hotel.
Sources say the last time he saw his daughter outside of prison was in August 2024, when the family spent the day together at the Miami Children’s Museum.
Insiders tell TMZ he misses family moments with his children and being separated from them is very hard on him.
Judge Arun Subramanian offered to shave at least a year off of his sentence if he completes a rigorous drug treatment program in prison.
Combs was allegedly addicted to pink cocaine and other drugs ferried by drug mules on his private plane.
The judge recommended he serve his sentence close to New York and complete a substance abuse program.
In a letter to Combs’ lawyers made public on Wednesday, the judge specified the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP).
RDAP is an intensive, 500-hour substance abuse treatment program for inmates.
“A lot of people quit — they find it hard,” said Justin Paperny, a former inmate who advises clients before and after sentencing. “But it helps correct the way you think — flawed thinking, bad decisions — and helps you work to overcome addiction. Many love the program.”
