Federal prosecutors claim jailed rapper Lil Durk placed a $1 million bounty on rapper Quando Rondo’s head following the shooting death of King Von in Atlanta.

King Von, 26, was shot outside an Atlanta hookah lounge on November 6, 2020. Quando Rondo’s cousin, Lul Tim, pulled the trigger while King Von and Quando Rondo fought each other.

The shooting was caught on the club’s surveillance camera.

After the shooting, Lil Durk’s fans pleaded with him to “slide for King Von,” which is slang for getting revenge on his killers.

Prosecutors spoke with a confidential informant who said Durk recruited Chicago gangbangers with a promise of $1 million if they carried out the hit on Quando Rondo.

The hitmen flew from Chicago to Los Angeles, where they stalked Quando Rondo around the city.

They eventually ambushed Quando Rondo and shot into his car at a gas station across from the Beverly Center. But they missed Quando and fatally shot his close friend Lul Pab.

The feds submitted text messages from Durk telling gang members if any of them killed Rondo they would be “made straight.”

A cooperating government witness will testify that this language was understood to mean a price on Rondo’s head.

Despite killing the wrong person, Durk rewarded the hitmen with cash, jewelry, custom dental grills, appearances in his music videos, and mentions in his lyrics about Lul Pab’s death, according to court documents.

Lil Durk has been locked up in L.A. since his arrest in October 2024. His lawyers asked prosecutors to provide more details about their case.

Durk’s criminal trial was pushed back to late April 2026. He pleaded not guilty.
