DJ Akademiks says Ray J should “lawyer up and shut up” after the singer/actor clapped back at him over allegations that he rigged a fight.
Akademiks played a clip of Ray J insulting him and questioning his journalism after Akademiks alleged Ray J’s recent fight was rigged.
“Here’s what I want to say to Akademiks. You was a ho, ho,” Ray J said. “I think that your journalism is starting to go. You’re losing yourself.”
Akademiks responds to Ray J dissing him after he advised him to move on from mentioning his boxing match in any capacity. Due to him hearing the mounting evidence that he tried to rig the fight

Akademiks appeared surprised by the diss before directly addressing Ray J on his livestream.
“A poor little Ray J,” he said. “Ray, brother, I don’t want to go back and forth with you. Ak said Ray J was upset because Ak discussed claims that Ray J tried to rig an MMA fight in May. Ray J lost the fight to YouTuber Supa Hot Fire by knockout in the second round.

In a post interview, Ray J hinted that the fight was rigged and it wasn’t supposed to end in a knockout. Ray J suggested that Supa Hot Fire knocked him out too early. “You know how much money we lost?” he said.

Akademiks later suggested that Ray J tried to rig the fight and the feds might be interested in pursuing charges. Ak repeatedly said he was not involved and claimed he was warning Ray J about possible legal repercussions.
“I have nothing to do with this,” Akademiks said. “What I’m telling you though is essentially you committed a crime… “There’s text proof with you and the [expletive] setting up the fight,” he said. “What you tried to do could be the subject of a federal, not only investigation, but an arrest.”
Back in January, Ray J claimed he only had months to live after he was hospitalized with pneumonia. He also said he was in heart failure and “2027 is definitely a wrap for me.”
Ray J said his heart only pumped 25% of blood with each contraction. But fans were skeptical of Ray J’s health claims because he performed in concert weeks later with fake blood dripping down his face.
