Gorrilla Zoe comes up with yet another creative way to describe the female anatomy in this video for his second single off his sophomore album “Don’t Feed The Animals”. The track features label mate Yung Joc.
Smh @ the obligatory LSLHs in the video. Record labels are so predictable and clueless. You think their record sales would go up if they showed more love to Nubian sistahs who represent the greater majority of our community?
“Don’t Feed The Animals” is set for a July release. Big Ups to Rico Brooks for the link!
“You think their record sales would go up if they showed more love to Nubian sistahs who represent the greater majority of our community?”
you need more people. OBVIOUSLY
signed – LSLHALI (light skinned with long hair and LOVING it)
LOL LOL LOL!!!!! @Crys
Just sick of the hate. SICK of it.
I can’t hear the song but I can already tell it’s a bunch of garbage. I know it’s already been said numerous times, but there is no creativity in music anymore! That is why the brothas either end up on the other side (how you doin), with WM and the reason behind the seperation of BM and BW. Stupid *** BP follow suit with that, just like trained animals going to slaughter. Like I said, I can’t hear the song, but are they are calling us animals? I can’t stand rap, I can’t stand hip hop, I can’t stand n****. I wish they would crawl under a hole and rot.
Thank you n**** for teaching our future generations to grow up to be disrespectful to each other and nature in the name of the almighty dollar!
Thank You…
Ahhh… That felt much better:)
Typical…Im not surprised…*dusting off my old Goodie Mob CD*
actually i saw a few brown skinned women in the video. well the part of it i watched…i can’t stomach it too much i only got thru the first half. the song is whack, the video lame. i mean i’m so over women wearing no clothes and being looked at as a sex symbole (only…forget about brains) for a fat ugly rapper. ewwwww.
i mean who grows up and says…”mama i wanna be a video girl and be slobbered over by men just cuz they have no self control and a hard penis?!” stop the madness i say! if you are gonna be a video girl then at least have something else going for yourself so you are also known as a brain, start a foundation or a company or go to college damn!
@ Smokie:
Is it hate because I’m pointing out the obvious? If rappers were casting all white women in their videos, and I pointed that out, would I still be hating?
@ MZN:
I applaud you for standing up. If more black women followed your lead maybe our young impressionable black boys can be saved.

_________
The hate comes from the fact that you are LYING.
What about all the DSLH women? Everybody in the enterainment world except for Rihanna and Cheri have long fake hair. And, there are not only LSLH video girls anymore. Please.
I didn’t even watch the video, to be honest. What grown woman clicks on a Gorilla Zoe video?
DIDNT WATCH THE VIDEO BUT HEARD THE SONG LAST NIGHT ON 107.9 AND IT IS GARBAGE AND DESTINED TO BE ANOTHER FLOP FOR BLOCK ENT.
sorry about the all caps

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Exactly! Where are they in rap videos? We’re talking about black women being represented in videos here. You didn’t even watch the video so what are you talking about?
Man this is a certified FLOP…but then again thats why Rap albums arent selling anymore, because most of these rappers aint talking about anything worth listening to.
I dont wanna hear this ish, I wonder who this music is marketed towards cuz it sure aint the smart educated folks that actually buy CDs, maybe its for bootleggers.
Hip hop is so boring and uncreative now. No amount of dark skinned nubian queens or DSLH’s could make this song/video interesting.
Well, as a “LSLH” chick myself (though I did trade my waves for dreads, lol), I am consistantly digusted my the disproportionate number of light-complexioned, “racially ambigous” and non-Black women in Hip-Hop videos. Alas, the media is still telling us that the “Attractive” Black woman is light and the “macho” Black man is dark. It ain’t hard to tell.
HOWEVER, I think that the bigger issue is thw way these women, regardless of complextion, are represented in videos. Lets see all the Black and Latino sisters (and the others, if they MUST have them, LOL) treated like women and not like pieces of meat.
cosign with Sister Toldja. I think the real issue should be how these women are portrayed in these videos. What real woman: light skinned, dark skinned or otherwise would want to be in these videos?
OMG!!! I just realized that the girl in the pink bikini licking that popsicle went to high school with me – and is STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL!!! Wow…
My friend likes this song.This cathcy and annoying all at the same time.
Plus I don’t see many black women in the videos now.
again there are dark women in the video or darker should i say BUT i say again that who cares. i don’t care what these men think beauty is i hate that women are portrayed this way in the first damn place! go ahead and use all white or latin women…please keep us out of it. women are shown as objects of beauty and sexual pleasure and fantasy by the media and it sux!
——-
Yeah, very valid point. Are these women really clamoring for video h o spots?
I don’t see us complaining about the different hued black women who are news reporters, commentators, and such. The LSLH chics don’t have those jobs on lock at all.
Ummmm – ladies….
I think what the record labels/artists/video directors are trying to sell is a fantasy, not represent a reality – if that were the case, then the women wouldn’t be sugar slim, either. Just like on TV when you use a certain deodorant, drink a certain beer, drive a certain car, wear certain clothes, or use a certain razor – suddenly, beautiful, long-haired women (white, black, latino, or “racially ambiguous”) suddenly show up at the end of the commercial or end the print ad.
ANYWAY…this brings up an interesting point. Have any of you ever watched commercials on TV that have black families? Especially those with a young child or children? The company doesn’t matter – KFC, McDonald’s, Chrysler, even Little Debbie. I want you to STUDY the children. Why do they ALL look like Corbin Bleu? To me, those kids never look “black” enough, either. They all looked mixed with curly hair in what is supposed be (I imagine) a lightly teased mop of curly hair. Where I live, I don’t see kids like that. Not that I have a problem with them at all – they are beautiful children and that’s all well and good.
I specifically remember a change the billboards I saw for the (former) UPN show, Kevin Hill (which starred Taye Diggs as a lawyer who suddenly becomes a father). The first ads I saw featured a baby that looked like Taye spit her out – brown-skinned, and black, short and very curly hair. The later billboards (and finally, the baby that starred in the show) looked a light lighter, with a different hair texture.
Shouts to Ki Toy & Buffie…at least they are representing the dark-skinned sisters…
wow this is creative(rolling eyes)….wonder how much it set them back..a buck 50?
The reason this crap continues to happen is…we allow it. I stopped buying hip hop CDs and watching videos a long time ago. The music is digusting. I can’t listen to it with my daughter. the images on the videos are hypersexual and materialistic…not mention BORING. it’s time for a change. I am tired of hearing about strippers, bling, and sex. can someone make a song about love, marriage, investing, and being happy? Songs my family and I can dance to with hearing the f’ bomb every other word.
is that too much to ask?
