A suspect has been arrested in the Boston Marathon bombings that left 3 people dead and 183 people injured on Monday. The FBI ID’d the “dark skinned” man in CCTV video footage taken from a camera outside the Lord & Taylor department store near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. According to The Boston Globe, the FBI have video footage of the bomber dropping a bag containing an IED bomb near the spot of the 2nd of 2 explosions that rocked the Boston Marathon.
The photo above shows the Boston police reacting to the first explosion near the finish line while smoke plumes from a 2nd bomb can be seen in the background behind them.
A law enforcement official speaking on condition of anonymity told the Associated Press the FBI have a suspect in custody and he will be brought to federal court later today.
A photo obtained by 7News in Boston shows a light colored bag on the curb next to a mailbox near the site of the first explosion.
Police believe the bombs were made using 2 pressure cookers packed with scrap metal, BBs and ball bearings. The bombs were designed to take out the legs of spectators and runners using low velocity explosions. The force of the explosion propelled the lid of one of the pressure cookers onto the rooftop of an adjacent building.
Police recovered a piece of circuit board that may have been used to detonate the bombs remotely. The FBI cell phone records from nearby cell towers to pinpoint the number and location of the cell phone that detonated the bombs. The media had earlier reported the bombs were detonated using a timer.
It took President Obama 24 hours to call the bombings a terrorist act.

The FBI has a terrorism check lis as long as the crime fits the list, it’s terrorism. Just went inside my neighbors home for the first time in five years and unfortunately I’m now scarred.
It’s a nice home and it even has a pool. Ummm upon entering their home I noticed a pungent smell like moth balls or something (are they hiding a body) and as I walked to the living room I saw something that looks like a mausoleum. It was tall and black and was about the length of the wall. If the Addams Family were real, I’d say that my neighbors house would be identical to the Addams Family. The furniture looked like something in a funeral parlor. It was dark and dusty looking. Not dirty just creepy. I was waiting for the front door to close behind me! The furniture had a gothic feel and had a lot of pointy wood attached to it.
