President Obama’s youngest daughter Sasha Obama, 12, sparked a buying frenzy on the ASOS website when she wore a ASOS unicorn sweater during a basketball game in Maryland on Sunday. The sweater sold out within minutes. And as of today (Friday) the item is still sold out.
“‘Nothing in college basketball this season will be cooler than Sasha Obama’s sweater,’ wrote one Twitter user,” according to The Huffington Post. “Another user tweeted, ‘Sasha Obama’s unicorn sweater wins.’“
The sweater had been reduced to $19 from $62 by the time Sasha made it a must-have item. The retailer isn’t sure if it will be restocked.
