Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s fashionable daughter Willow made her most recent foray into the world of entertainment with a professional photo shoot on the Trocadero in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower in Paris yesterday.
While there they surprised a newlywed and happily posed for photos with them. Are my eyes deceiving me? When did Jada get all that junk?
Willow Smith, who will turn 10 on October 31st, made her acting debut alongside her father in I Am Legend. But she will step out on her own when she launches her career as a singer, according to her mom Jada:
Pinkett Smith tells AmbassadorMag.com, “I have always had a love for music, always, always, and always. I probably started to pursue it a little late in life. But it was always a passion of mine. I had always been too afraid to venture into music, but I decided when I was about 30 to just go for it. I started a metal band called Wicked Wisdom. I toured and I loved it.”
“But soon after, my kids’ careers started taking off, so I sacrificed it. I am pleased to say my daughter, Willow, will be putting out an album soon and . So I am excited about that, and she’s pretty awesome. She will be better at it then I ever could be anyway!” Read More…
NICE!

F what you heard, Willow, the hef is bad…
her!
jada has always been bad, since A Different World. i think the way she’s standing makes it looker bigger, but she got a hot body still.
Jada:
No you did not sacrifice your music career, you just pushed it over to willow, the same way joe pushed it over to Mike. SMH.
you go girl! pursue your dreams and enjoy learning/growing from each endeavor. that’s what life is all about and at least she’s not resting on her parents’ laurels but is making her own mark. kudos to Willow!
I’m not trying to be mean but the first pic looks like the thing from lord of the rings. I think Willow is pretty and I love her haircut.
I think it is really awesome to see parents allowing their children to follow his/her dreams. Parental support is such an important foundational tool especially during the early adolescent years. My daughter is 5 and I support any and everything she expresses and interest in! She will never suffer from low self esteem or be bound the limits of society!
Aint nobody checking for Willow.
Willow is mos def growing on me-Good job Jada and Will…
Hey @BROWN!
How was your vacay?
I love this lil wierdo! She and my kid Leilani = a day apart, same age, same “style”
LOL
I think its the way Jada is standing @Sandra
But she’s always had a nice shape!

I don’t care what you all say. I can rap better than Rick Ross.
willow aint nuthing but skin and bones, just like i was as a child. lol
i do love the smith family though
especially you Will
ive heard willow sing and um…. its not that hot
Hello All. Willow will probably be embraced by white Hollywood, unlike Raven, who is very, very talented, IMO, but too thick for Hollywood’s skinny standards. (Raven doesn’t look like most starlets, a skeleton wrapped in a blanket with big boobs.) Willow is just like her name, willow. I wish her nothing but the best. With her parents fame, she’ll surely go far and ain’t nothing wrong with leaving a legacy. Peaceeeeeeeeeeeee.
The little one has style !!!!
I likes Willow, always have IDK why though b/c the rest of the Smith klan irks me something terrible…
*chuckles* My bad @BROWN.
The last thing I read was you visiting your sister so SORRY.
I am on the fence with Willow. I like kind of like her style, but it seems to be too much at times. It works for her because of who her parents are and their profession. I am a teacher and I just couldn’t see a Willow sitting in my second grade class. I am all for letting children express themselves but this is a bit much. If her parents were not celebs (huge celebs at that) I don’t think she would be that “out there”. Like if her mama and daddy was, say ummm, Grant Hill and Tamia. I mean they are celebs but not huge international celebs that yt people across the world are familiar with. They don’t have ths $$ Will and Jada have and probably don’t follow the same cirlces, trends, styles, and things of that such that insanely famous and rich mf-ers follow.
i like that look on her unlike them lace up pants she was rocking but this is pretty cute for her. i think she will be successful but Jaden is def the star of the little smiths
OTB
what the hail you talkin bout?????
She looks like a feral child in those 1st 2 pics.
Daninicole…I think she is trying too hard. You can tell when a child is doing too much – I think their parents are pushing them too hard to be stars. Seems like they would know better, and would want their children to have as close to normal lives as possible, considering who their parents are.

I
everything about Willow! Hopefully Disney will take note of her, put her on their payroll and then Will and Jada won’t ever have to work again!!
in ten years, willow and shiloh will be lovers.

I think that the girls want to break from being a Disney star so they go so far to do something that is Anti-Disney. Has anyone seen the Cheetah Girl Keely’s video? It is called “The Sex was Spectacular”. The lyrics are awful and the video is too. The chorus says something along the lines of I don’t remember his name but I remember being face down and azz up. Hayle nawl! Disney is the devil!
“It works for her because of who her parents are and their profession. I am a teacher and I just couldn’t see a Willow sitting in my second grade class.”
Willow would be in 4th BUT if she did show up, would you teach her differently?
The only reason my 4th grader will be looking like everyone elses this yr is because of manadatory uniforms but even then I KNOW she will find a way to be different…
I would hate to think that she is getting judged.

Hey doll! Great minds think alike
Will and Jada ain’t doin nothin that most wouldn’t do if they had the means. What that means is we will be subjected to a constant barrage of vehicles for them until something sticks(think Nick Cannon or Romeo). Then, folks will be told that it has everything to do with their genetics and folks will forget the all the early crap. It’s really no different than the people who put their daughters in those pageants, more often than not the kids aren’t interested in that shyt at all, they just see where the parents lead them and they do it because of the attention and praise they receive when they please the parents. Most kids crave their parents approval. Side note………They murdered that Karate Kid remake(not in a good way)

NOV. 10 here
Umm, I know Willow is not in second grade, I was saying that this type of look is not common in everday ordinary schools regardless of grade. I wouldn’t teach her differently. From my experience the children who are a little more out of the box than everyone else are the ones who are more fun to teach and they are more creative. My point was that Willow is waaaaay above and beyond the realm of what non-celeb children look like. Now be for real. The look is crazy. If it wasn’t it wouldn’t be a topic twice a week. I think her environment influences her style. I know that every child is not gonna be a cookie cutter run of the mill standard looking child, but this is a bit much. And if a child came in my classroom looking like Willow and her mama’s name wasn’t Jada and her daddy’s name wasn’t Will, no I wouldn’t judge her. I would judge her parents.
“My point was that Willow is waaaaay above and beyond the realm of what non-celeb children look like. Now be for real. The look is crazy.”
@Dani Do you read BLACKCELEB KIDS . com or something like that?
Willow fits right in, IMO. Do you mean other BLACK celeb kids or something? Even then, she fits right in…
“…no I wouldn’t judge her. I would judge her parents….”
Good to know our teachers are “judging” though. :/
Although looks shouldn’t disrupt learning, please understand it does. Not so much on the teacher’s end because we know we will get a crayon box full of students, but for the students it does disrupt learning. That is why uniform policies have been issued in public schools and dress codes are so strict. Now I don’t know what make ya’ll thank (yes thank) a child with her head shaved ain’t gone cause some disruption in a regular classroom. Not a hollywood classroom, a regular one. The teacher should ignore it but the kids won’t. Especially elementary to middle school age. I think ya’ll are looking at it from a mature adult’s point of view not a child, espeically a child who hasn’t been exposed to it. Eventually it make wear off and won’t be a big deal, but it will cause some disruption at first. Look how we act when we get new pics of Willow.
MORNING ALL.
Must I remind you all that we are currently in LEO!!!! Cant wait for the bday. Anywho I agree with OTB that was me I may have had on the uniform but I made my stockings stick out, purse and or shoes, nail polish you name it. If my parent had the means I would of been out there as well.
#teamdaretobedifferent
@ daninicole, I feel you! And
OTB, you sure go out of your way to let people know that you and your child are different. I think we get it. #noshadeitjustgetsold
When it comes to Willow’s look I don’t have a problem with it. My only qualm would be if she wasn’t choosing to do it herself.
The way she dresses is no different than allowing your 3 year old to dress themselves. They may have on polka-dots, plaid and floral….but they know they are killing the fashion game.

Willow was not in I am legend….that was jaden …
I love this family..they march to the beat of their own drum
I think everyone should stive to be different – then we’d all end up being alike

um htown chick that was willow
@ardentphotog I sure do. I go out of my way to let my children know that this is not “thier” world, they are sharing and I go out of my way to tell other people’s children that too.
*whispers* I also pinch other ppls kids.
#noshadetaken
I just don’t get why a pre-teen needs to have style or be “fierce” they’re little kids, shouldn’t some jeans and a t-shirt do?
@dani Do you teach in amore conservative area? The kids in our schools have blue hair and ish. I was appalled when the middle schoolers showed up with “brugundy” and “tracks” but as my 8th grader told me, “You late, ma.”
I was just reading an article about how excessive body ink is no longer seem as limiting when you are seeking employment…things change.
A “new kid” cause s disruption. Everything loses its luster after a while, no? It just smacks of “conformity’ to me. Everyone and every thing is not goingt o be the same. Which should teach understanding or whatever the hell it is. Excuse my post errors. I’m hurrying.
@OTB, LOL! Good to know our teachers are judging. All the time. It’s human nature. With that being said, I have been wrong about my judgement and I have been right. I don’t get up looking to judge parents/people it just happens. Does that make me a bad teacher, I don’t think so because I don’t treat any of my students differently , does it make me human. Absolutely.
Ya’ll getting upset because I think that look is crazy, weird, abnormal. Well it is crazy, weird, and abnormal. I know the next question will be who defines normal and yada yada yada, but come on! Plus you all seem to be overlooking the fact that I said a normal classroom/school. Not a school were all 13 of the Jolie-Pitt clan attends or Suri Cruise, or Willow and Jaden.
I just believe that if her parents weren’t huge stars her look would be toned down. No she might not look like every other child but it would be toned down. That is all.
You and I havent chatted much but please believe I dont get upset about these things. Its just convo; I know its so hard to get tone across on the web, but with that said I just like to chatter and learn.
#letscontinuethedebate. I can learn muchos from you, I’m sure. What yr are you in? (I was an English/Edu major)…never taught though
S/N: Other folks get a little testy about what I choose to comment but thats them and when they have kids they can come again…
“I just believe that if her parents weren’t huge stars her look would be toned down.”
I can agree to that. I often “pull rank” and
a certain choice but you have to pick your battles and IMO clothing that is “different” but tasteful wouldnt be one I would suit up for.
No daisy dukes or halter tops for lil Willow! She’s wearing a boucle jacket for gawdsakes, LOL
“…Plus you all seem to be overlooking the fact that I said a normal classroom/school…”
Where are you located?
@daninicole aww, I student taught second grade. Thinking about my experiences, if a Willow came to the school students would be wide eyed but after a while other girls would want to look just like her because she is “cool” or she is the “nice” girl in class. Its so weird to notice that even at extremely young ages students want to appeal to their peers.

My hair is has been in a mohawk for a couple of months, there are plenty of kids at my childs school who has similar cuts. A lot of children have pink, green and purple highlights in their hair. They wear uniforms but my child as well as others will wear boots like Willows with the uniforms and accessorize with bracelets, just to give you an example. In my opinion, when people are focused on clothing, you are really worried about the wrong thing. When grades are failing, then it’s time to be alarmed. The cause won’t be the type of clothing the child wears but the lack of concern on the parents part regarding the childs education. I’m glad my childs teacher looked past my hair and tattoo’s and commended me for having an honor roll student, perfect attendance, reading above her grade level, etc. I can go on.
*please note that my tone is not argumentative.
At OTB, Good! I enjoy the convo as well and I don’t comment much because I don’t want to offend anyone by what I type since you can only perceive how you think I am expressing myself versus, how I am really expressing myself. E-beef is not the business! LOL!
I live in Augusta, Ga and it is not a small city but not as big as Atlanta. It is Georgia so it is a bit conservative but not too much. I teach little ones. Up to fifth grade. Blue and burgundy tracks would throw me off. I mean our oldest students are like 11 or 12. Colored hair would be something that would disrupt the class for at least the first 20 minutes or so!

Can you please define? reason I am asking is because, there are creative kids that are not children to celebrities. If you were going in the direction of private schools, those kids who attend share with kids that aren’t celebrity offsprings as well. This scenario to me is, I wear animal print, you think it’s tacky, but what is there to judge in between that? Can you enlighten me on your thought process. #curious

It’s not about what the child is wearing it’s their personality. When you share the same “likes” as someone, usually you share some characteristics in personalities. If you child wants to wear a garment that happens to make a statement, if it’s not provocative, why not? It’s equivalent to giving a blank canvas and telling them to illustrate their thoughts by coloring.
@FreetoSpeakUp:
How hold is your child? Tattoos? I teach babies! They come to me fresh off of being 6 years old. Believing in Santa and the Tooth Fairy (most of them anyway). If I taught high school, my comments would be totally different. I wouldn’t look twice (okay maybe not 3 times) at a high school student with that look, but a child? I am faaar from hollywood and Willow’s look is a bit much. I have students who are different in a variety of ways and all of them are not by choice. Some are dirty, some have accents, some are overweight, and then there are those who are different on purpose. Wearing crazy clothes, some crazy hairstyles (no shaved sides or mohawks though) and I don’t judge them. I teach them all the way they need to be taught and I enjoy it. My whole point is Willow is a child and if her parents were not who they were she might look like a totally different child.
In AUGUSTA? Hail yeah! I shacked up in in Blythe for a summer…
I understand now sister! LOL James Brown!
How could you all NOT dare to be different?!
According to my boss that lives in NJ, everybody dresses like they’re on vacation! LOL
***Looks down at my jeans and t-shirt, and sneakers
sorry. i need to get to my desk this is not owrking!!!
… I think Willow being Hollywood makes her even more so out there… but thats relative. I expect for my kids to know more about “labels” then a kid whose parent could care less.
I expect for a kids whose parents are engineers to know more about math and such…dont mechanics teach their kids? I come from a teacher and clearly I have been influenced LOL
At FreetoSpeak up, maybe I should have said a common classroom. Again I teach little ones. I have friends that teach high school and we don’t have this type of discussion becautse those kids are damn near adults. I don’t think parents should stop their children’s creativity but as a 9 year old child with a shaved head. That is a bit much. We would have to have common ground. You can pick (some of ) your clothes but shaving the head, no way! You can get your hair braided in a mohawk, but not with colored strands of hair. Again this would be to my young child not my teenager. As far as adults how they dress do their hair, etc, I could care less. You grown.
this lil girl is being PACKAGED. the smiths know are gonna keep it in the family.
I agree @Free. Packaged. But no different form grooming kids to be doctors, lawyers, basketball/football stars right?

No I have tattoo’s and a mohawk. My daughter will be 8. There are some kids in her school who have their hair in mohawks, different color highlights and such. We are creativity when it comes to her uniform. Just with Willow, I haven’t seen anything that just screams slow down tito, this girl is jsut a kid.

At Free. Okay I misread your comment. I think we will just agree to disagree on this one, cause I am down with creativity to an extent with a certain age. I can’t get down with the colored hair/shaved head at such a young age. I will say this, if your child was in my class and she/he behaved, did their work, was not disrespectful, and did what was required, I wouldn’t care about how he/she looked. I’m trying to get 100% passing on the CRCT.

yes but that is oftentimes, at that age, what their parents want them to be. i less think willow is picking out these hairstyles and outfits than her handlers. she’s been looking “eclectic” for years which means she would have been kinda young to have a style.

Cool, it’s the FCAT for us
Yes, I like this outfit she has on! It’s different but not looking too “outerspace” (the future look never did it for me). Jada’s hair looks good too. She was always very skinny but maybe as she ages she is getting some extra junk in the trunk (I remember back in the 90’s she said she wanted some but couldn’t get it done, LOL). Maybe Willow is a model in the making.
I’m gonna have to agree with you on this one. That child has too much swagger not to be a celeb. I don’t know what she will be famous for, but she will be famous for something.
i don’t get why Free is getting som much flack
. The child looks Crazy! Period. You can call it different, unique, whatever. If she wasn’t will or jada’s child, IMO, she wouldn’t be doing all this(shaved head, crazy outfits) I don’t for one second think she’s doing this on her own. What if your mama let you do what you wanted when you were a child. I remember MC Hammer pants, I begged & begged my mother; She said no- & I’m glad she did. I wanted a “french-roll” hairstyle, but mom thought it was “too grown” for a little girl. She was right. You doing crazy stuff now What happens when you get older. I am a trendsetter; because my mother would not allow me to follow the crowd, but I was still going to school looking like Her Child.
And YES, she is Very Packaged. And to whoever says; it’s like training a child to be a doctor or whatever position society has deemed as a coveted; Its still domestication (you know, how you train wild animals)
Jada looks good.
Willow is a cutie.. nothing wrong with having ur own style-go Willow
Alright now @SneakyBrown.
Is that Terrence Howard with some blonde braids in the last picture?
