Texas Cracks Down On Illegal Aliens with Occupational Licenses

Texas is cracking down on illegal aliens holding occupational licenses without a Social Security number.

A review of occupational licenses shows more than 18,000 license holders don’t a valid Social Security number.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation added the Social Security rule in late January 2026.

Thousands of cosmetologists, barbers, electricians, CDL drivers, plumbers and HVAC technicians could lose their occupational licenses unless they show proof of a valid Social Security number.

The law requires applicants to submit their Social Security number when applying for a license.

Illegal aliens in Texas will no longer be able to obtain an occupational license, local NBC affiliate KCEN 6 News reported.

Iris Yanez, an illegal alien, says she completed 1,000 hours of supervised training and spent $13,000 to earn her hairdresser credentials in early February.

Now she can’t work in a hair salon because her credentials were revoked.

“I’m going to have two credentials that I’m not going to be able to use,” Yanez told the Austin American-Statesman.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said the law helps protect jobs in Texas.

The law also helps “to combat fraud, human trafficking, and labor exploitation.”

Commissioners will vote to make the policy permanent this month.

Mark Zuckerberg Shuts Down Metaverse After Investing $80 Billion

Mark Zuckerberg is shutting down Horizon Worlds, the company’s virtual reality social app for Quest headsets in the Metaverse.

In a community note, Meta announced that the Horizon Worlds app will be removed from the Quest store at the end of March, and fully removed from VR headsets on June 15, 2026.

The news comes after Zuckerberg spent $80 billion investing in the Metaverse.

Zuckerberg announced the Metaverse in October 2021 with a slick marketing campaign. He was so confident in the Metaverse that he rebranded Facebook as “Meta.”

“From now on, we’re going to be metaverse-first, not Facebook-first,” Zuckerberg said at the time. “Our mission remains the same — it’s still about bringing people together.”

Zuckerberg said, “we will effectively transition from people seeing us as primarily being a social media company to being a metaverse company.”

But Metaverse ran into some trouble. The much-hyped Metaverse avatars didn’t have any legs and Metaverse’s graphics left a lot to be desired.

In February 2022 a woman claimed she was “virtually gang raped” by other players in the Metaverse.

Nina Jane Patel shared her harrowing experience of sexual harassment in a post on Medium.com.

Patel said within 60 seconds of joining the Metaverse she was “verbally and sexually harassed” by 3-4 male avatars, with male voices, who “virtually gang raped my avatar and took photos.”

Zuckerberg laid off 11,000 workers by the summer of 2022.

Meta is planning to lay off another 20% of its workforce to reflect a growing trend toward AI in the tech industry.

But Meta engineers don’t have much confidence in their own AI, so they’re using Google’s Gemini.

Zuckerberg plans to invest $600 billion into artificial intelligence by 2028.

“They will absorb AI into everything,” a former AI ads engineer wrote in a Reddit.com subforum.

Sheryl Lee Ralph is sounding the alarm about an uptick in HIV cases among Black women. Ralph said the increase in cases of HIV among Black women is concerning.

Ralph attended the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Awards viewing party in West Hollywood, where she called attention to the growing crisis.

The actress has helped to raise funds and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS for more than 40 years.

She worked the room at the viewing party, educating women about pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV prevention (PrEP) which reduces the risk of HIV infection.

“I’m here because, believe it or not, HIV and AIDS is not a dead issue in America right now,” Ralph told Variety.

PrEP is also for Black women, not just for men.

Black women are most at risk because Black men have the highest rates of HIV in America. 50% of Black men in Atlanta are HIV-positive.

“It is spreading. We are still seeing upticks across the south, especially in women of color, and it is something that needs to be paid attention to,” Ralph added. “And also, I think about the fact that as we spread awareness, so many women have no idea that PrEP is also for them. It’s not just for men. So there’s so many reasons to be here at the Elton John event as we continue to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS.”

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) says Black women account for about 54% of new HIV cases among women in the U.S.

Ralph notes the underuse of PrEP among Black women. The medication significantly reduces the risk of contracting HIV.

Black women have HIV rates up to 17 times higher than White women.

HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is an infectious retrovirus that causes AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome).

HIV is a sexually transmitted infection that is contracted through exposure to blood, semen, and sometimes vaginal secretions.

Once in the bloodstream, the virus infects and kills white blood cells, such as helper T cells in the body’s immune system.

When the level of helper T cells in the body drop too low the body can’t fight off opportunistic diseases and infections such as Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP) and Kaposi’s sarcoma, a type of skin cancer.

Bravo plans to cancel “The Real Housewives of Miami” amid plummeting ratings. The network shelved the series months after season 7 concluded in October 2025.

A source confirmed to PEOPLE that the “show has been put on pause” and there are no plans to bring the series back in the near future.

The Real Housewives of Miami is the least-watched spinoff in the Real Housewives franchise, according to Variety.

Season 7 of RHOM saw the addition of real estate developer Stephanie Shojaee, a Miami native. She joined housewives Guerdy Abraira, Lisa Hochstein, Julia Lemigova, Alexia Nepola, Larsa Pippen, Adriana de Moura, Marysol Patton, and Kiki Barth.

This is not the first time the series has been shelved, according to Page Six.

The first season premiered on February 22, 2011 with original cast members Lea Black, Adriana de Moura, Alexia Echevarria, Marysol Patton, Larsa Pippen, and Cristy Rice.

A three-part reunion in October 2025 remains the least-watched of Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchises.

“There is some chatter amongst those in the know that RHOM is going to be canceled. There has been trouble with casting,” one source told Reality Blurb, which was first to report the news on Wednesday.

The insider said the issue is due in part to Nepola and her ex-husband Todd’s $10 million defamation lawsuit against the show.

“Some of the issues have to do with Alexia due to Todd’s lawsuit (which he filed and how Todd won’t be on the show,” the source said.

“Without Todd, her story would be more or less dead, and that would have an effect on the entire franchise.”

Todd filed to dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice in December, meaning he can’t refile the lawsuit.

Desperate New York Governor Kathy Hochul pleaded with wealthy ex-NYers to return and pay taxes to support “generous social programs.”

Wealthy people fled New York to avoid high taxes during the Biden years. They relocated to tax havens in Florida and Texas.

Gov. Hochul and NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani are feeding and housing illegals who currently reside in hotels in the City.

“I need people who are high net worth to support the generous social programs,” Hochul begged.

Mamdani proposed raising taxes on the rich to pay for their social programs. But Hochul was against that idea. Instead, she proposed encouraging millionaires to return to the state and pay taxes.

“Maybe the first step should be to go down to Palm Beach and see who we can bring back home because our tax base has been eroded,” Hochul said at a forum hosted by Politico last week.

“I have to look at the fact that we are in competition with other states who have less of a tax burden on their corporations and their individuals,” she added.

Hochul, who faces re-election in November, rejected Mamdani’s plan to “tax the rich”. She has defended wealthy residents in recent weeks as Mamdani proposes hiking income taxes.

Mamdani wants to use funds raised by a 2% tax hike to help pay for his democratic socialist wishlist.

Hochul managed to find $1.5 billion to bail out the city and another $1.7 billion to expand childcare access for illegal aliens in her record-high spending proposal.

“We have to be smart about this, but we can fund what we want to fund with what we already are taking in,” said Hochul, who proposes a spending budget of $263 billion.

Whoopi Goldberg revealed she fulfills her sexual needs by meeting random men in bars for one night stands.

The 70-year-old comedienne and co-host of “The View” confessed she goes bar-hopping for “hit and runs when I need it.”

On Wednesday’s episode of The View, Whoopi said, “A woman wrote an article in Cosmopolitan, admitting that she fantasizes about being single even though she’s in a very happy longterm relationship.”

Whoopi noted the woman wrote that “she finds herself missing the days of casual flings and bar-hopping.”

Whoopi’s co-host Joy Behar, 83, asked, “Do you miss those days?”

Whoopi confessed that she bar hops in search of random men.

Whoopi added, “I am not married to anybody, I don’t have responsibility.” She then asked guest co-host Sara Eisen if she’s married, to which Sara responded she is.

Sarah Haines said she does miss the single life, but not enough to go bar-hopping. Haines said she wishes she could go on “a binge where I can sit and eat ice cream and no one’s watching, and watch whatever I damn want.”

A jury in Ohio cleared Joseph Foreman, aka Afroman, in a defamation lawsuit filed by seven police officers.

The cops claimed the rapper defamed them by releasing music videos that mocked them after a failed raid on his home.

The Ohio County Sheriff’s Department sued Afroman over songs and social media posts that criticized them for storming his home with guns drawn in 2022. The raid yielded no evidence and no charges.

Police eventually returned money seized in the raid on Afroman’s house.

Video footage shows Afroman emerging from the courthouse with his arms raised as supporters cheered on Wednesday.

Afroman said the battle was bigger than him; it was about free speech and corruption within the sheriff’s department.

“I didn’t win, America won,” Afroman told ABC News affiliate WCPO9 on Wednesday. “America still has freedom of speech. It’s still for the people, by the people.”

“All of this is their fault,” the rapper told the jury in open court. “If they hadn’t wrongly raided my house, there would be no lawsuit, I would not know their names… they wouldn’t be on my home surveillance system, and there would be no songs, nothing…”

On Monday, sheriff’s deputy Lisa Phillips broke down in tears while viewing a music video Afroman made titled “Licc’em Low Lisa.” The music video featured an actress portraying the officer chasing Afroman along a highway and simulating oral sex on another woman.

Afroman’s lawyer objected to playing the video in court, but the judge allowed it.

The plaintiff’s attorney also played Afroman’s 2022 music video “Why You Disconnecting My Video Camera,” where he raps “Lieutenant Licc’em Low Lisa ate my ex-wife just like pizza.”

Jason Whitlock says Michael B. Jordan‘s first Oscar Award wasn’t earned – it was given to promote diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

In a post on X.com, Jason listed 5 Black actors who deserved to win the Best Actor Award: Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx, Forrest Whitaker and Will Smith.

Jason wrote, “Black [actor] who won DEI Oscars Michael B. Jordan.”

He added Sinners was “hot garbage” and “Jordan’s acting was mid at best.”

Some, but not all of Jason’s X.com followers agreed with his opinion.

Jason’s comments sparked outrage among Michael B. Jordan fans.

105.3 RNB Radio referred to Jason as a “pseudo-journalist and live-action Uncle Ruckus model.”

The radio station said Jason “managed to be anti-Black even after he repeated a short list of Black male actors he did agree were Oscar-worthy.”

Jason also shared a poll asking whose accomplishment was “more fraudulent: Bam Adebayo’s 83 or Michael Bam Jordan’s Oscar Award.”

He referenced Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo breaking Kobe Bryant’s scoring record of 81 points. Bam scored 83 points to lead the Heat to a 150-129 win over the Washington Wizards on March 10.

Some NBA fans believe the Wizards conspired to help Bam break Kobe’s record.

Update: The Houston Health Department did temporarily shut down Tina Knowles’ gumbo stand at the Houston Rodeo.

KPRC2 News confirms Tina’s gumbo stand was shut down temporarily on Monday, March 16. The gumbo stand reopened on Tuesday, March 17.

Rodeo officials confirmed Tina had to address “clerical issues” before the stand could be reopened.

Last week a man complained about a case of food poisoning after eating a cup of Mama Tina’s gumbo.

A video circulating on social media shows a text message from a health department official to a woman who apparently got sick after eating Tina’s gumbo.

The text message claims Mama Tina’s gumbo stand was closed down due to a discrepancy in her application for a food permit.

The health dept. official said Mama Tina’s gumbo was discarded and the food that was stored in unapproved containers was also thrown out.

Tina was allowed to reopen her gumbo stand after she resubmitted her food permit application.
