Reminder: Eboni Elektra Slams Kim Porter Book as ‘Blatant Lies’

A new 60-page book allegedly containing a collection of Kim Porter’s diaries is up for sale on Amazon.com.

Kim died from double pneumonia at her Los Angeles home on November 15, 2018. She was 47.

The book was published by Chris Todd under the pseudonym Jamal T. Millwood. He claims Kim put her diaries on a flash drive and gave it to a friend.

“I was lucky enough to meet someone that purported to have Kim Porter’s flash drive,” he told DailyMail.com. “I know the celebrity source pretty well. I know how close they were to Kim and Diddy, and all the people in the hip hop community,” he added.

Todd didn’t provide any evidence, such as emails or text messages from Kim, to prove the authenticity of the book.

Documentary evidence is required before a major book publisher will touch a book written after someone’s death.

Sandra Rose/Sandrarose.com

The book is full of lies, according to Kim’s best friend and confidant Eboni Elektra, who was like a sister to Kim. Eboni (left) is pictured with Kim and Nicole Cooke-Johnson of Three Brown Girls at Justin’s Restaurant in Atlanta in 2004.

The DailyMail.com obtained a copy of the book, titled “Kim’s Lost Words, and published some excerpts. The book describes Kim’s relationship with Sean Combs from the ’90s until her death.

The excerpts are laughable and they don’t sound like Kim’s words at all. A lot of the information in the book can be easily found on the Internet. The rest of the book sounds made up.

Sandra Rose/Sandrarose.com

As rumors of the book spread on the Internet in July, Eboni (far left) took to Instagram and addressed the memoir as “blatant lies”.

“Now it’s getting out of hand. THERE IS NO BOOK! There never was. Several people continue to speak about and spread blatant lies regarding this “mystery manuscript” as if it were true. People….. IT’S NOT. Kim would never do such a thing, and that’s the honest to God truth. God knows the truth and so does she. As for me, I couldn’t have another person call my phone or send me a text about this without clearing the air. Any negative feedback or comments on this post will receive no response except God bless you. The truth is the truth. Be blessed. #kimporterstrong.”

Sean Combs is on suicide watch while awaiting trial at the federal Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Combs, 54, was arrested at a Manhattan hotel on Monday, Sept. 16. He was twice denied bail following a grand jury indictment on sex trafficking, racketeering, kidnapping, transportation to engage in prostitution, and arson charges.

According to the U.S Department of Justice National Institute of Corrections, suicide watch is a precautionary measure “for suicidal inmates that require frequent observation.”

During the jail booking process, inmates are asked if they have thoughts of suicide. If they say “yes,” a slow “no,” or they hesitate to respond, they are placed on suicide watch until they’re evaluated by a psychiatrist.

Combs’ inmate information is online. Fans can write to him by including his name and jail ID # on the envelope.

He was placed on the Special Housing Unit which is reserved for VIP/high profile inmates.

According to the NY Post, Combs’s life is in danger because of his charges. He is kept in isolation away from the general population.

Combs gets a 6 a.m. wake up call every morning. He then makes his bed and mops the floor of his 6×9 ft. cell. He is served 3 meals a day for a total of 1,800 calories per day.

Correctional officers deliver his meals in a warming box. But his housing unit is far from the kitchen, which means his food can be cold by the time it arrives.

He was fed Swedish meatballs, egg noodles, green beans, a garden salad with dressing and a 16 oz. beverage for his first meal in jail.

Combs gets one hour of recreation per day and three showers a week (to preserve beneficial bacteria on the skin).

He has access to the commissary where he can purchase small items such as candy, gum, tea and toiletries. He can also buy large items such as sneakers.

Combs’s sons, Justin (left), Christian (right), and Christian’s half brother, Quincy, can visit him in jail. But their visits will be brief because the SHU unit is a long walk and additional time is not granted for visits.

Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, asked to transfer Combs to a jail in Essex County in New Jersey. Agnofilo said conditions at the MDC Brooklyn are “horrific”, and the NJ jail is nicer.

He will also have more access to Combs to prepare for trial next year. The decision to move Combs will be left up to the Bureau of Prisons.

Nelly Sued by St. Lunatics for Unpaid Royalties

Rapper Nelly (center) is being sued by his former St. Lunatics band members over unpaid royalties.

Billboard reports that the St. Lunatics filed a lawsuit against the St. Louis native over royalties from his debut studio album Country Grammar.

Country Grammar spawned the hit single “Country Grammar (Hot Sh*t)”, which peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Other songs off the album include “E.I.”, “Ride wit Me” and “Batter Up.”

In the lawsuit filed Wednesday, the group members say they wrote the lyrics to “Country Grammar” and songs that they were never credited for, including “Steal the Show,” “Thicky Thick Girl,” “Batter Up,” and “Wrap Sumden.”

The group alleges that Nelly (born Cornell Haynes Jr.) “manipulated” them into believing they would be compensated for their contributions to the album. They’ve been waiting for proper compensation for 24 years.

Prince Williams/ATLpics.net

According to court documents, obtained by Billboard, Nelly, 49, assured the group that he would never prevent them from receiving the success they were entitled to.

Meanwhile, Nelly achieved more success with his second album, Nellyville (2002), that spawned number 1 singles, “Hot in Herre” and “Dilemma” (featuring Kelly Rowland). The album also produced the Top 5 single, “Air Force Ones” (featuring Murphy Lee and St. Lunatics).

“Unfortunately, plaintiffs, reasonably believing that their friend and former band member would never steal credit for writing the original compositions, did not initially pursue any legal remedies,” their lawyers wrote in the complaint.

“Despite repeatedly promising plaintiffs that they would receive full recognition and credit… it eventually became clear that defendant Haynes had no intention of providing the plaintiffs with any such credit or recognition.”

Nelly recently sold his song catalog for $50 million. He married longtime girlfriend, Ashanti, and they welcomed a son together.

Life couldn’t be better for Nelly. But his former friends can barely make ends meet in today’s economy.

Nicki Minaj fired shots at departing executives during a wave of layoffs at Atlantic Records and Warner Music group.

About 150 executives lost their jobs in the wake of departures by top executives, including Kevin Liles at Atlantic Records.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Nicki wrote:

“Dear fired executives & A&R’s:

Don’t be mad, UPS is hiring.

Also, feel free to submit your resumes for a job @ #HeavyOnIt.”

The wave of layoffs came after disgraced music mogul Sean Combs was arrested by Homeland Security agents in NYC on Monday, Sept. 16.

In an internal memo, Warner Music Group CEO Robert Kynci announced that additional employees will be clearing out their desks at the label next week.

Kynci did not say how many employees will be affected, but Billboard cites a source who said between 150 and 175 employees will lose their jobs.

In addition to Kevin Liles stepping down, Margo Scott, executive VP & general counsel at 300 Elektra Entertainment, is also leaving.

Executives hired by Liles at 300 Entertainment were also shown the door.

Michael Kyser, president of Black music at Atlantic Records, will also depart.

The layoffs caused tremors in a music industry that is already hard hit by declining music sales.

Combs’s arrest caused shockwaves as record executives locked down their social media accounts, scrubbed photos from their timelines, and deleted text messages and DMs.

Insiders whisper that Beyonce and Jay Z appear in secretly recorded videos seized from Sean Combs’ Los Angeles mansion in late March.

Combs is charged with sex trafficking, kidnapping, forced labor, transporting, and maintaining sex workers for prostitution, threats and coercion, and arson. The charges stem from evidence collected during raids on Combs’s homes in Miami and Los Angeles.

Faizon Love On Sean Combs’ Arrest: ‘When Has Being Nasty Been a Federal Crime?’

Faizon Love commented on the recent arrest of hip-hop mogul Sean Combs on sex trafficking charges.

The actor/comedian questioned the validity of a federal indictment that also charged Combs with kidnapping, forced labor, transporting, and maintaining sex workers for prostitution, threats and coercion, and arson.

“I need y’all to help me… I’m confused. The Cassie thing I understand,” Love said, referring to Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura who settled a lawsuit with Combs in November.

“They should definitely lock this ni**a up, putting his hands on the young lady. But I don’t understand the other sh*t,” he said. “Can y’all help me? When has being nasty been a federal crime? And I’m glad they told me. I didn’t know there was a limit on baby oil. I’m getting a few [bottles] ’cause we get ashy.”

Love referred to federal agents seizing 1,000 bottles of baby oil and other lubricants during raids on his homes in March. The feds referred to the baby oil as “freak off supplies.”

Love wondered if possession of multiple bottles of baby oil is a federal offense. “We get a massage or something… I don’t know. Please tell us the new rules for ni**as.”

Love compared Combs to famous Black boxer Jack Johnson who was charged with sex trafficking in the 1800s. “He was whupping as* — mainly white folks as* — and they couldn’t stop him,” Love explained.

Johnson was the first Black man to hold the world heavyweight championship.

Johnson drove flashy cars and had a mouth full of gold teeth. He was very popular with white women, such as Hollywood actress Mae West, which led to his downfall.

The feds charged Johnson with transporting a white woman across state lines for indecent purposes.

Love suggested that Johnson was charged with trafficking to stop him from dominating the boxing world.

Love echoed the concerns of rappers and professional athletes who routinely fly Instagram models across state lines for intimate services.

After Combs was arrested, many rappers and athletes locked their social media pages, scrubbed their DMs, and deleted their text messages of any evidence that might suggest they are “trafficking” women.

“Make it make sense. We need to know the new rules,” Love said. “Can’t take anybody on vacation. Can’t take anybody to Vegas. Damn sure don’t bring them to Atlanta. Uh, I need y’all to help me, ’cause I don’t know the new rules. Please tell me what was illegal.”

Oprah Winfrey Paid a Fortune to Stop a Documentary About Her Life

Oprah looked a decade younger during an unannounced appearance at Jimmy Kimmel Live! in Hollywood, CA. on Sept. 17.

According to a report, the media mogul paid a fortune to block a documentary about her life from being released on Apple TV Plus.

Oprah, who is worth around $3 billion, shelled out untold millions to keep the documentary from being released.

The documentary was first announced back in January 2021, according to DailyMail.com. Oprah received a large check from Apple TV Plus for the rights to her documentary.

BACKGRID

A source claimed that the 70-year-old TV Guru and director Kevin Macdonald “clashed” over the documentary film.

“Kevin made the film, but Oprah didn’t like it and he refused to change it,” a source said. The source added that Oprah bought back the rights from Apple TV Plus.

Industry sources claim Oprah paid “millions” to get the rights back.

“As the Apple TV Plus deal was coming to an end, Ms. Winfrey bought back the rights to her docu-series and has since decided to put the doc on hold,” the source said.

Another source insisted that Macdonald did not refuse to make the edits that Oprah wanted. Oprah simply “had a change of heart” about the film.

The source said “it wasn’t the right time to do a documentary.”

Details about the documentary were kept under wraps. But one source said Oprah threw open the doors to her private life with longtime partner, Stedman Graham, 73, and Oprah’s lifelong friend, Gayle King, 69.

The documentary was set to be a 2-part TV special that would chronicle Oprah’s 45+ years in television. In the 1970’s Oprah became the first Black female news anchor at Nashville’s WLAC-TV.

But in 1977 she was demoted as co-anchor for unknown reasons. Oprah was assigned to work the news desk at the station.

She became a household name after “The Oprah Winfrey Show” premiered nationwide on September 8, 1986. Oprah’s TV ratings doubled Phil Donahue’s national TV audience.

Within a year, The Oprah Winfrey Show was the most popular TV talk show in the nation.

Sean Combs’ Sons Leave Court After He Was Denied Bond a Second Time

Sean Combs’ sons Christian “King” Combs (left), Justin Combs (right) and Christian’s half brother Quincy Brown are seen leaving the federal courthouse after Combs was denied bail on Wednesday.

BACKGRID

Combs must remain in custody at the MDC Brooklyn Detention Center until his criminal trial in 2025.

Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr. denied an appeal after Combs’ bond was rejected by a different judge on Tuesday. Judge Carter rejected Combs’ $50 million bond proposal on Wednesday because he posed a risk of witness tampering.

Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnofilo, described his client as a religious man who was “an altar boy” as a child. But Judge Carter said he still posed a danger to the safety of the community.

Carter rejected an amendment to the bond proposal in which Combs would have remained at his mansion on Star Island in Miami, Florida, without a cell phone or Internet access.

Agnofilo said Combs would be monitored around the clock by a private security force of former law enforcement officers.

Additionally, no women would be allowed to visit Combs except for his family and a pre-approved list of women.

Judge Carter noted that Combs contacted former Diddy-Dirty Money band member Kalenna Harper 58 times by text and phone before she released a statement.

Carter said Combs used his power and influence to keep potential witnesses under his control.

Harper contradicted former D-DM band member Dawn Richard who said Harper witnessed Combs assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

Richard sued Combs last week, alleging he groped her and threatened her.

The judge mentioned the chilling 2016 hotel surveillance video that shows Combs chasing Cassie down a hallway, throwing her to the floor, and kicking her before throwing a glass vase at her.

MEGA/WENN

The judge said “that video is quite disturbing,” to which Combs nodded several times in agreement.

Without naming Cassie, Agnofilo said she was partly responsible for what happened to her. He said Cassie and Combs were both drug addicts who brought a third party into their “toxic” relationship.

One of the prosecutors said potential witnesses are so fearful of Combs that they won’t come forward unless the government assured their protection.

“His influence makes it so difficult for witnesses to share their experiences and trust that the government can keep them safe from him,” said prosecutor Emily A. Johnson.

The judge argued that even with 24-hour security and no phone or Internet access, Combs could still use employees to contact witnesses “through coded messages.”

Agnofilo complained about the conditions at MDC Brooklyn Detention Center, where Combs is housed in a special unit. He said the restrictions there would make it difficult for him to prepare for trial.

He told reporters he would request a speedy trial. “I’m going to do everything I can to move the case as quickly as possible,” Agnofilo said outside the courthouse.

Sean Combs’ Bond Appeal Denied. He Will Remain in Custody

Judge Carter has denied Sean Combs’ appeal for bond. According to Inner City News, the judge said the $50 million bond proposal “is insufficient even on risk of flight.”

Combs will remain at Brooklyn MDC detention center until his trial next year.

Update, 5:02 PM: Judge Carter questioned why bringing in a sex worker, who traveled across state lines, isn’t a problem. Agnofilo noted that the former governor of New York did the same thing, and he wasn’t prosecuted. Agnofilo: “It’s not sex trafficking.”

Update, 4:58 PM: Agnofilo describing the toxic relationship between Combs and a woman (Cassie). They both had problems with anger and drug addiction. They both went to therapy. They both chose to bring a third person into their relationship.

Update, 4:55 PM: Judge Carter seems willing to release Combs on bond, as long as security is inside the house with him to make sure he stays off the phone and Internet.

Update, 4:45 PM: Agnofilo said he (not the feds) confiscated passports belonging to 5 Combs family members to assure the court that he won’t flee. He said Combs has a letter of intent to sell his $60 million private jet.

Update, 4:36 PM: Agnofilo tells Judge Carter that Combs will not have a cell phone or access to the Internet. No women will visit Combs at his Miami mansion. A visitor log will be provided to pretrial detention services. Only female family members will be allowed. Former law enforcement officers will provide 24/7 security.

Update, 4:32 PM: Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnofilo, told Judge Carter Kalenna Harper contacted him with her lawyer. She was concerned that she was in the news after denying Dawn Richard’s statement that Kalenna witnessed Combs assaulting Cassie Ventura.

Update, 4:25 PM: According to TMZ, a Michigan judge tossed out a $100 million default judgment against Combs. His lawyer previously said Combs was never served in that lawsuit. The judge said the plaintiff Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith — who is currently serving 75 years in prison on sex offenses — failed to prove he effectively served the lawsuit in accordance with Michigan law.

Update, 4:20 PM: The hearing is underway. U.S. District Judge Andrew Carter Jr. is presiding. Judge Carter said Diddy-Dirty Money member Kalenna Carter issued a statement defending Combs after he called and text her 128 times.

Sean Combs is appealing Tuesday’s bond rejection in a hearing at the federal court building on Wednesday.

Combs was arrested on Monday night at a Midtown Manhattan hotel after a grand jury indicted him on sex trafficking charges.

A federal judge on Tuesday rejected Combs’ $50 million bond proposal. He secured the bond with his $48 million Star Island mansion in Miami and his mother’s home in Miami Beach, estimated at $4 million. The mortgages on both properties are paid off.

Judge Robyn Tarnofsky said her concern is “this is a crime that happens behind closed doors, even when pretrial services is monitoring.”

The judge told Combs there were no conditions she could find to assure her that he would appear in court if released.

Prosecutors describe Combs as the head of a criminal enterprise that engaged or attempted to engage in sex trafficking, forced labor, interstate transportation for purposes of prostitution, drug offenses, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.

His lawyers are appealing the bond rejection at this hour. Reporters are gathered outside the courthouse to cover the bond hearing.

Combs’ legal team amended his $50 million bond proposal to include regular drug testing and no female visitors. He is asking for home detention at his Star Island residence in Miami.
