I was so ready to ignore Bobby Brown‘s upcoming book about his drug-fueled life with Whitney Houston – until I read that Bobby and Janet Jackson used to be love birds. What? When did that happen and how did their relationship slip under the radar? Or am I the only one who didn’t know about it?

About Jackson, Brown says he never abused alcohol as much as he has until his relationship with the ‘Rhythm Nation’ singer hit the skids: “I can recall that I started drinking heavily when Janet Jackson and I broke up,” he writes. “Before I met Janet I would never drink hard liquor, I only drank beer. But after our break up, I started drinking hard liquor abundantly. I took the way our relationship ended very hard. Not to say we were head over heels in love, but she was someone I had a lot of feelings for. Besides, we were young and naive. I was only about 19 or 20 years old. Young love is no joke!” (Source)

Whitney responded via a written statement to the nonsense spewed by her ex-husband Bobby Brown in an upcoming book he’s supposed to be paying somebody to write for him. I don’t even know what he said because I don’t care.

Whitney shouldn’t even be wasting her time with Bobby. We need her to get in the studio and finish that multiplatinum album because I’m getting tired of making excuses for her. We’ve been patiently waiting for too long.
