The Lakers didn't have their eight-time All-star center Anthony Davis (#3) who suffered a groin injury in Game 4 and missed all of Game 5 of the series.

The team doctor gave Davis the OK to return to the starting lineup in Game 6. However, Davis was in obvious pain and struggled in the opening minutes. He headed to the locker room after playing less than 5 1/2 minutes of the 1st quarter.

The Suns' star guard Devin Booker (#1) led all scorers with a playoffs career-high 47 points, 11 rebounds and eight 3-pointers. He made all six 3-point attempts in the 1st quarter.

"I've been working my whole life for this moment... so it wasn't time to shy away from it," Booker told reporters after the game.

Booker and teammate Jae Crowder were ejected from the game in the final minute for a flagrant foul and a technical respectively.

Chris Paul scored 8 points and had 12 assists for the Suns.

Fans were angry that LeBron James walked off the court without shaking hands with the Western Conference champs after the game.

He made up for his unsportsmanlike conduct by gifting a signed jersey to Booker, who sought him out in the arena tunnel after the game.

The Suns next face Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in game 1 of the second round on Monday, June 7, in Phoenix.

The Nuggets eliminated Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers 126-115 to clinch game 6 in Portland on Thursday night.

The Lakers vs the Clippers was the most anticipated matchup of the start of the 2019-2020 NBA season. LeBron James, left, and Anthony Davis, right, took on Kawhi Leonard and the L.A. Clippers at the Staples Center on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

The Lakers shot out of the gate like a cannon, scoring easy layups, dunks and three point shots over the Clippers' seemingly weak defense. For a while it looked like the Lakers would coast to an easy victory.

Then Kawhi Leonard took over, hitting seven straight shots to show he meant business. The superstar, who led the Toronto Raptors to their first NBA championship earlier this year, finished the night with 30 points as the Clippers upended their crosstown rivals by a score of 112-102.

LeBron finished with 18 points and 9 rebounds. It wasn't his best night in a Lakers uniform. He had three of the Lakers' six turnovers. "That was just very careless and they capitalized off of it," he said after the game.

The Lakers and the Clippers will face each other three times in the regular season. But, for now, Kawhi owns the L.A. bragging rights.

Anthony Davis underwent an MRI after spraining a ligament in his thumb during a preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets in China.

Davis suffered the injury while going for a block in the 1st quarter on Saturday. He was taken out of the game but he returned a short time later. He left the game again to have his right hand taped up and iced.

The former New Orleans Pelicans star finished the game with 6 points on 2-7 shooting, two blocks, three rebounds and a steal in 12 minutes of playing time.

The 26-year-old Lakers center underwent an MRI on Monday to determine the seriousness of the sprain to his right thumb. He will likely miss tonight's preseason game against the Golden State Warriors at The Staples Center (Oct. 14).

Lakers fans are bracing themselves for the bad news. The Lakers were plagued with injuries last season. Davis' signing during the off season gave fans high hopes that the Lakers would be the team to beat tis season. Davis has yet to play a preseason game in Los Angeles.

The Lakers will start the regular season against Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers on Oct. 22nd.

It's no surprise that New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis stripped naked and allowed other players to spank him. Grown men (and women) will still do anything to be accepted into a clique. Isn't that the reason why former Miami Dolphins players Jonathan Davis and Richie Incognito are making national headlines?

The following VINE video was filmed following Anthony's record-breaking game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night. The video shows Anthony, butt naked, writhing on the floor of the locker room in mock agony as another player spanks him.

Unlike androgynous realty TV star Joseline Hernandez, University of Kentucky standout Anthony Davis has thick skin.

From the time he set foot on the UK campus, his teammates prevailed upon him to shave his unibrow. But Davis took the taunts in stride.

To the 19-year-old future NBA star his unibrow was his trademark -- and now he's making it official.

Davis, who is expected to be the top pick of the Hornets in Thursday's NBA draft, plans to trademark the phrases "Raise the Brow" and "Fear the Brow" -- in reference to his uniquely fused eyebrows.
