The Hollywood couple tied the knot on May 23, 2019, after dating since 2017. They were first introduced by Matthew's brother, Joey Lawrence (Gimme a Break!), when he was a guest on DWTS in 2006.

The couple dated for a few years following their meeting, but got back together in 2017 and eventually tied the knot.

Their union produced no children. Cheryl, 37, discussed not having children with her famous husband back in 2017, saying:

"We really want to do it right. We want to do the steps of being engaged, moving in together, getting married and having kids... I'm not getting any younger. We want kids and all of that, so we'll see what happens."

According to The Blast, the professional dancer is asking the court to deny spousal support to either party. The documents reveal the couple were independently wealthy when they signed a prenuptial agreement on May 20, 2019.

"When we first dated, we were both young and immature, and I was so new to this world," Burke told PEOPLE in 2017. "Now we are both adults and feel balanced."

Matthew, 42, starred with his brothers Andy, 34, and Joey, 45, on the series "Brotherly Love" and he portrayed the character Jack Hunter on ABC's "Boy Meets World."

"My doctors discovered a health concern with my throat which requires immediate attention and surgery," she said in a statement to Good Morning America.

"I am heartbroken that my DWTS journey has to end here. I have pushed myself to new limits physically and mentally, and I am so proud of how far we’ve come."

Jeannie was competing with professional dancer Brandon Armstrong on the show and, following her sudden departure, producers have opted to only eliminate one couple from the show this week.

"Jeannie has inspired us, along with millions of fans, with her energy and dedication," they added in a statement. "We wish her a full and speedy recovery. Since Jeannie had to withdraw from the competition, tonight’s show will feature the eight remaining couples and a single elimination."

Rapper Nelly, Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause, Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean and Disney Channel actress Skai Jackson are among those competing in the current 29th season.
