Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms lashed out at Black businesses that reopened after Gov. Brian Kemp lifted restrictions last week.

The mother of four criticized Kemp for lifting restrictions too soon and she urged residents, particularly Black people, to stay indoors and avoid patronizing hair and nail salons.

The mayor lashed out at people who stood in line at Greenbriar Mall in southwest Atlanta to buy a pair of Air Jordans at a Black-owned shoe store on Saturday.

On Monday, Bottoms tweeted:

"For those who crowded at Greenbriar awaiting the new Jordans, gathered at Piedmont Pk, shot fireworks at the Mall West End & even those now shopping at Lennox Square Mall, know that the only thing that’s changed about Covid-19 is your chance of catching."

In an op-ed for Breitbart News, political commentator and writer Rob Smith questioned the motive behind Mayor Bottoms' fear mongering.

"Mayor Bottoms will tell you that coronavirus fears are behind her warnings, but Georgia’s COVID-19 numbers lag far behind the rest of the country in terms of infections and deaths," he wrote.

Smith compared Atlanta's Covid-19 deaths, about 1,250, to the death toll in New York state, over 19,000 deaths, and concluded that Mayor Bottoms is over exaggerating when she claims reopening Atlanta would be "deadly".

"Mayor Bottoms says that beginning the path to reopening Georgia is 'deadly.' Yet while it is true that African Americans are disproportionately affected by COVID-19, it is also true that the vast majority of hospitalizations and deaths from the coronavirus are among older Americans with pre-existing health conditions."

Smith suggests Mayor Bottoms is willing to sacrifice Black businesses to ensure the Democratic party's chances of winning in November.

He accused Bottoms of attacking the "African American voter base" with "misinformation and conspiracy theories," that are "counterproductive to keeping Atlanta's citizens healthy in every way, including economically."

"Telling a young and healthy small business owner to wait until his or her business is fully destroyed with no chance of coming back because the "science" says so is the kind of messaging that will continue to hurt American citizens of all colors. Moreover, business owners should be given the opportunity to make decisions about their own businesses."

President Donald Trump is considering sending individuals and small business owners checks ranging from $1,000 to $4,500 to help lessen the financial impact of the Coronavirus on the economy.

The Trump administration seeks $850 billion for a stimulus package to stimulate the economy amid unprecedented responses to the Coronavirus outbreak in America.

The stock market, tourism and airline industries all suffered huge losses as a result of the virus hysteria.

The Trump administration will also defer payments to the IRS by pushing back the deadline for making income tax payments from April 15 to July 15.

Trump will meet with Congress to seek approval for the package, including checks for $1,000-$4,500 paid directly to all Americans except millionaires and billionaires.

"Americans need cash now," said Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin at a White House press briefing on Tuesday. "We want to make sure that Americans get money in their pocket quickly. We're looking at sending checks to Americans immediately.

"We don't need to send people who make $1 million a year checks," Mnuchin said. "We're going to preview that today and we're going to talk about details afterward."

"The president wants to put money in the economy now. If there are small business that can't make payroll, those businesses will cease to exist."

If Congress approves the stimulus package, the checks will be in the mail in April.

Hadiya Pendleton charges

Two men have been charged in the shooting death of a 15-year-old honors student who danced for President Obama during his Inauguration last month.

The two men in custody, Michael Ward, 18, and Kenneth Williams, 20, are violent gang members who mistook Hadiya Pendleton's group of friends for members of a rival gang, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Police took Ward and Williams into custody just a day after First Lady Michelle Obama attended Hadiya's funeral in Chicago.

Tongues are wagging that certain members of the International Olympic Committee lured Barack Obama to Copenhagen to publicly humiliate and embarrass him.

For months Obama planned not to go to Denmark to make a personal pitch for the Olympics. He said his priority was passing the lame duck healthcare reform bill. But he would send his wife Michelle Obama and senior advisor Valerie Jarrett in his stead. Historians pointed out that no other US president had ever made a personal pitch before the IOC members.

But according to the Drudgereport, White House aides were assured by IOC officials that Chicago would win the bid if Obama made a personal presentation in Denmark. The aides were told that if Obama didn't appear before the committee, the members would "notice" his absence.

The IOC played on Obama's weakness, realizing his narcissism would not allow him to say no.

So Obama made the overnight flight to Copenhagen believing the trip would cement his place in history as the first US president to help seal an Olympic bid.

Obama's narcissism is legendary and preceded him. But no one counted on Michelle Obama to display her arrogance when she told members of the Chicago delegation that her trip to Denmark was a 'sacrifice' for her.

The final straw was the fact that the other global leaders spent days schmoozing with the IOC members, but Obama flew in at the last minute spending a total of 4 hours on the ground in Copenhagen before flying back out.

When the voting was tallied, Chicago lost by a landslide in the first round, getting only 18 votes out of 94. It was the snub heard around the world.

And it must have been a crushing blow to both of the Obamas' egos.

Egg is all over Barack Obama's face today as the Chicago bid for the 2016 Olympics floats dead in the water. According to Drudgereport.com, Chicago was rejected in the first round. And as well it should.

Chicago is the worst place on the planet for the Summer Olympics or any international event. Who in their right mind would want to go to Chicago for any reason? I'm sure the Olympics committee weren't interested in running and ducking from bullets.

Instead of traveling to Copenhagen to bid for the games, Barack, Michelle and Oprah should have concentrated their efforts on making the streets of Chicago safer for its children. But they don't care about the kids.

How embarrassing for Barack.

In a recent radio interview, legendary crooner Andy Williams spoke of his contempt for Barack Obama and his (failed) attempts to socialize this country.

"Don't like him at all," he said, "I think he wants to create a socialist country. The people he associates with are very Left-wing," he said, adding, "Obama is following Marxist theory. He's taken over the banks and the car industry. He wants the country to fail." Source

Isn't it ironic that Obama has done more for the Muslim terrorist detainees at Gitmo than he's done for Americans?
