A third federal judge has blocked the Biden administration's vaccine mandate for federal contractors.

A Georgia judge blocked the vaccine mandate nationwide, according to Fortune.com.

The preliminary injunction was issued by U.S. District Judge Stan Baker, CBS46 reports.

It is the third roadblock to the Biden administration's vaccine mandate for federal contractors. Millions of federal workers were expected to be vaccinated by the deadline on Jan. 4.

An appeals court judge issued the first block against the federal mandate last month.

The White House defiantly told businesses with more than 100 employees to proceed with the vaccine mandates anyway.

"People should not wait. They should continue to move forward and make sure they're getting their workplace vaccinated," White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters at the time.

Multiple states filed lawsuits, arguing that the administration's mandates violates the U.S. Constitution.

White House coronavirus coordinator Jeffrey Zients said a December 8 vaccine mandate deadline for contractors is "flexible", meaning employers will not have to terminate unvaccinated employees.

In a press briefing on Wednesday, Zients said federal contractors who refuse to be vaccinated will be offered education, counseling and other measures before their employment is terminated.

"And so, to be clear, we’re creating flexibility within the system. We're offering people multiple opportunities to get vaccinated. There is not a cliff here."

Zients' statement means employers with more than 100 workers will not have to fire unvaccinated federal contractors on December 9.

Corporations are complaining that the federal vaccine mandates have caused contractors to resign or choose to be fired.

About 60 million people nationwide are unvaccinated, meaning they haven't received the first two Covid-19 mRNA shots.

On Tuesday, the CDC updated its guidelines to recommend a fourth mRNA booster shot for people who are immunocompromised, such as cancer patients.

Some corporations who hold federal contracts with the government, including Southwest Airlines and American Airlines, have taken a stand against the vaccine mandates. Delta Airlines fines unvaccinated employees $200 a month.

Obama kiss

With the stroke of a pen yesterday, President Barack Obama signed an executive order beefing up "sexual orientation" employee protections that already exist within the federal government.

The new executive order gives protections to gays, bisexuals, and transsexual employees of federal contractors. The executive order does not include religious exemptions -- meaning Catholic, Jewish and Muslim organizations that do business with the federal government cannot fire employees whose sexual preferences conflict with the organizations' religious morals or beliefs.
