Vivica A. Fox‘s rep emailed me today to set the record straight (as far as she knows) about the controversial tape that is being circulated around the Internet. As you know, the tape allegedly shows Vivica performing oral ministrations on a very willing and able male friend – allegedly.

We’ve heard the denials already, but Kim expounds upon what has already been published. Below is an excerpt from her email to me:

I understand that people have a need to know what their favorite celebrity is up to and that is your job to provide entertainment gossip. Currently, Ms. Fox is a client of mine and has no boyfriend as reported by many news outlets nor has Ms. Fox been involved in any sexual acts that would ruin her reputation. FYI: For the record I understand that Porsche [Foxx] wants to be the next Wendy Williams, so do what Wendy does and check your sources. So, just because someone claims to be friends doesn’t make it true.

I don’t know why she felt the need to put any effort into contacting an entertainment blog. I think we all know that the “news” we read here is gossip and often is not based in fact. Her statement begs the question, what kind of sex acts would tarnish her reputation? A head jammy? I think not. All that plastic surgery is what is killing her.

I do recall Porsha Foxx stating earlier this week on her show that it’s been circulating that she is the reason why this rumor is spreading. Porsha stated that it’s been reported that she was the 1st person to make this announcement about this sex tape. Which she claim is not true bcuz she had reliable source, which makes her NOT the 1st person to break this news. Anyway……

Urbanbrick… I’m gonna stand up for SR for a sec cause even if she didn’t…I DID POST THE VIDEO! We are not “tare”-ing down anyone and Vivica Fox does not “represent” me or anyone else I know! Instead of threatening a law “suite” Ms. Fox should seek the assistance of an image consultant, for if it were not for her already messed up image…it is possible that no one would have believed the hype (whether true or false)!

It is a very comforting thing, when one can criticize others, and hide their own professional value behind a computer. As a community we should express some unity, and show love and encouragement, to others in our community who have used their business saavy to help other African Americans.

As a public relations representative, it is (my cousin) Kim Tumey’s responsibility to protect her clients. With all the negative press that our culture receives in the media for being human, we should be just as protective as consumers of entertainment of our own black celebrities.

If we do not support our people, then tell me who will. Yes, their are plenty of African American entertainers, but are their really enough people in Public Relations like Kim Tumey, to protect our celebrities and keep their best interest…first are foremost.

As for Vivica…I have never seen pics/video, but she is human…let’s be more concerned with how our people are still not getting their “due” in Hollywood, over what they spend their personal time doing. It’s ridiculous we are not here in Hollywood picketing right beside the writers on strike, for African American actors/actress who are still not being paid, nor treated of the same caliber as their counterparts.
