The blogosphere is buzzing over the recent sudden deaths of two popular bloggers who died of heart attacks due to the stressors of blogging. In this video, popular blogger Perez Hilton discusses his demanding schedule (16 hours a day) and the fact that he makes $20 million a year while working alone updating his site (I didn’t know that).

20 mil…wow get it Perez
I feel really faint…
Someone call the ambulance!!!
I bet blogging can kill you, but there are so many blogs that are unoriginal. I know one thing for sure I used to be a long time watcher of Entertainment Tonight and E Online, but by the time they come on, I’m like they’re late. I read about all this stuff on the blogs, LOL. Perez is making $20 million, shoot I need to step up my blogging game.
If he is making $20 mil he can hire some damn help lol. Stop being greedy give to the needy lmao…
20 MILLION????
I knew Perez was paid because he eats those lawsuit up lunch. Hell like a snack. If he has the money to go toe to toe with the lawyers of celebs and various publications then he has to be doing ok. I’m proud of him and really happy for him. Prior to blogging he was a real journalist and they are near teachers when it comes to being underpaid.
Who were the bloggers who died?
Everything he said, HE is in control of. Everything has a price, you have to determine how much you are willing to pay/sacrifice. Is it worth the health and mental stress just to be at the top of the game….BTW you can’t stay at the top forever. At the end of the day, nothing will matter if you have ulcers and migranes…..those demanding people will move to something/someone else. Fame and fortune ain’t all it’s cracked up to be……of course the limelight is great for the moment, when it’s all said and done……..pushing up daisies isn’t worth $20 million. Hire a private doctor and some help.
Perez’s blog is such a guilty pleasure. I love you too Sandra, but when you start making that kind of money, please hire someone you trust. I know here in the “A” it is such a tight circle. You can trust very few. One day when I have the courage, I will tell you MY story. I will never have the courage to share it with the world
@ Bird … you make a point in ref to those lawsuits
20 million for drawing pictures on pics…d*mn.
I very rarly read prez’s blog. To many racists and his dislike of black stars is a complete turnoff for me. I am sure some black bloggers like Tarsha from **** are doing it big too and if Sandra is not there yet she will be because she has a very nice blog(beyonce aside) too.
Perez is funny as hell and he isn’t stupid! He knows he can’t draw pics of s*** on black folks. He would get a royal a** whooping!
I think working a double shift everyday, making over $400,000 a week is ONE DAMN GOOD JOB!
Ching Ching Perez!
I’m in the wrong business. I have probably visited Perez’s site twice. That racist comment section is too much for me.
Who are the dead bloggers?
Tech blogger Russell Shaw, 60, had a heart attack in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, just months after a rival, Marc Orchant died at 50 of a massive coronary.
I wonder if their age has anything to do with it and not blogging? Just an educated guess. Some people spend equal amount of time on the PC not blogging. So what’s the connection?
20 MILLION?!!!!!!!!!
DAMN, AND I KEEP PUTTIN OFF STARTING MY BLOG!
HMMMM…….
Sandra, pls enlighten us…is he making that much off the advertising? How is this kind of money generated from doing a blog? Do you need a partner, lolz
20 Million a year????WTF?But even “black stars” love Perez, go figure.Gabrielle Union is one of them, Eve and it goes on.
Wow! I had no idea Perez was ballin’ like that. I knew he was caked, but not to that extent! Now I’m really considering blogging as a side hustle, lol.
[…] alone (not including television deals, label deals, endorsements, etc) which probably brings him at 20 million a year or more. Now before you consider starting a blog with the intentions of becoming a millionaire over night, […]
20 MIL…..YEAH RIGHT!
