My bad, did you really think Newsweek magazine wrote a cover story on Nafiza Ziyad’s American family just two weeks after a video went public showing her having a psychotic moment on a MARTA train?
I hate to disappoint you. You see, that would have been too much like right.
It would have shown that Newsweek’s editors were sensitive to the wider social issues of the public at large - not just the segment of the population that looks like them.
Don’t you know that as far as big media is concerned, there is no mental health crisis in the black community? And even if there was - who cares?

Sandra is this woman your kinfolk or something? You seem totally fixated on her. First of all how do we know this girl is simply bipolar? I know many many people who are bipolar and don’t behave the way she did even though they don’t take meds. There seems to be something far worse wrong with her. Anyway, not everyone cares to single her out like you. Newsweek choice a differant subject and you chose her. Why is that a problem?
I just skimmed the Newsweek story and it is specifically about bipolar children not bipolar white people.

Why would she be the poster child for bipolar disorder? The video of her intended as a joke & then ppl got all righteous…. Let her family pimp her story out if they want, but dont do it for her. Address the issue & not the individual
