But how disappointed were you to see Ciara performing with Chris Brown instead of alone or with anyone else? Ciara is too grown and too talented to duet with Chris Brown. Bad move.

I just mentioned this in the other post.I mean the perfomance was ok, but I had to take my younger company (which was my 9-10 year old cousins)to another room.It didn’t strike me, but I thought the show overall was GHETTO ASS HELL, except Al Green and Marvin Sapp.We still have some good!
I thought that was one of the best performaces of the night. I guess being from VA I am a little biased. I do not see how she is too grown for Chris Brown, they did an excellent job!

Sorry Sandra, I usually agree with you, but that perfromance was HOTT!! Ciara did that…TO answer your question why she didnt perform alone…well, what would she have performed. He album has died and she performed last year. And Chris Brown is like the hottest lil dude out now, so it made sense for her to be there….
Their performace was hot to me… The best part was Rhi Rhi’s face as Cici briefly molested Chris Brown as a part of the routine.

I loved their performance. Ciara is an amazing dancer and she added something special to his set. I’d love to see them do a song/video together.
I mean to say, her album has died and she performed last year…the only bad thing about the performance is it was too short. I wouldve loved to see them work each other out to Take You Down!!
Okay Sandra I love CICI but in no way is she more talented then Chris Brezzy………………..she can’t dance better (although I love the way she moves) and she can’t sign betteer either.,………….Chris is by far more talented………….wasn’t that CiCi that rode the bike out at Nellys performance I think so that’s the only girl i know who moves like that
The performance the best behind Alicia Keys tribute to the Fab Girl Groups of the 90s. Ciara danced not sang. It was great for me, but hey I am from the South where we grind a lot. LOL. He was better than the overhyped U…R. Who simply revamped his video……

Good performance… she’s in his age group I don’t see have ahe’s too old for him. BUT I love to look at Rhianna’s facial expression when the camera cuts to her and she’s forcing herself to smile hilarity!

Ummm how was it a bad move?!?! Ciara did have another perform with Nelly later on in the show, but that wasn’t a GREAT performance. I think her and Chris did a good job. Chris Brown is an artist that is hot right now, so its not like it hurted her career or anything.What little career she has right now. and what was she going to perform hasn’t drop an album or any new songs.

I didn’t recognize her at first or see her name scrolling in the back until the end. I had to rewind it to really appreciate the performance. But it was good. That song is a little to grown & sexy for Chris B. to be singing AND performing.

Ciara did her thing, they fans of each other, they are condisered the new school of dancing so why not, it was great, they shut it down. That honestly was one of the best parts of the show her comming out there.

I thought it was ok. I loved the rain visual and Ciara is the best female dancer out right now, Chris probably asked her to come out. It’s not like she sang or anything, and that back bend she did was CRAZY. I definitely don’t think Ciara is more established than Chris Brown (Music wise)…I would say they are on the same level.
i fully agree. this woman has already set her mark in the entertainment world, they had her working like she’s some back up dancer for him. as good as it was, they could have got any girl to do what ciara did.
Why does everyone keep calling the show ghetto as well? I didn’t see anything different about it. They make them say corny jokes just as all the other award shows do. What’s so ghetto about that?

CIARA is the greatest entertainer alive of this era, not to take anything away from the Jackson but gratest comes along every 20 years or more. This is her time just like artist before her. I surely didn’t want to hear Ciara sing. I thought she did a great job dancing and looking cute. It was short and sweet.

The performance was hot, but the ending was WHACK. Why did they just end like that. I was disappointed. But the performance was live, especially the waterfall heart thingy. Although Taylor Swift (lil country singer) danced around in on at the CMA (country music awards……..yes I watched it….annnnnnd), Chris Brown took it to a whole notha’ level.

Ciara is not too talented to perform with Chris Brown. I just think she is too big a star to serve as his dancer which was her only role last night. She can’t dance better than him and she damn sure can’t sing better than him or at all for that matter.
CIARA has major talent. Her singing may not be the best but who’s is. Someone needs to tell T-Pain to sit down. Ciara could be a JANET if she had the right team.

Join the club. When Ciara’s name came up on the backdrop I still didn’t get it. I was like, “damn BET so ghetto, they got the wrong name on the screen.” It really didn’t register with me at all that Ciara would be a back up dancer. I watched the whole show and blogged on it all night while it was going on and still didn’t know until right now that it was Ciara.
It was a pleasant surprise to see Ciara perform with him. They are both great entertainers and his 5min was garbage until she hit the stage. I loved the awards all together last night… I was up dancing to Al Green…Its the first time I watched the whole show without yawning!

I agree that some of the vocals were off that night. Ive heard many of these singers in person and have heard them sound better. I wonder if the sound was a little off in that place or something? Oh well, at least for the most part, the show wasnt a ghetto mess.
Also agree that Ciara is a great overall entertainer and that helps to crutch her soso vocals.

I saw that performance twice. My mom has direct TV so I saw that one part twice. It was VERY raunchy and my lil neice and nephew were watching when I was at my moms, so I was a little embarassed. But once I got home and watched it again, still raunchy, but they did the thing. I like how she leaned all the way back then he pushed her up with his leg. Nice move.

The fact that it was Ciara is what made it better. Had it been some random chick, I dont think it would have been talked about as much. BET likes doing dream collabos with people who wouldn’t normally perform together, but would be really good to see.

I hated the dance with CB and CiCi. Like many I had no idea that was her; who would expect her in such a back up role? The songs were tired az hell to fans (who have heard them a milli times), why didn’t Tina use these awards as an opportunity to debut some new singles, Chris has mad fresh material they aren’t even using! I hated the choreography, they were trying to be novel but it was just awkward! At one point CB even pushed Ciara, it was horrible. And WTF was that at the end? Matrix my azz, it was just wack. Both can do WAAAY better than that mess. JMO

They did very good. Im sure they brought her out because of so many other stars that had hot girls come out and dance with them. It started with Michael Jackson and his The Way You Make Me Feel song that he performed with a no named dancer and later performed it live with Britney Spears. Then we had Usher bring out Beyonce to dance with him on one of his tours. All she did was dance without singing a word. And then Justin and Janet kinda did the same thing. And so on and so on..
like i said over and over….ciara is a great entertainer not a singer. it is not hating just stating a fact.
