New Music: Solange - F*ck the Industry
A new track by Solange is stirring controversy within the music industry. In the song posted on her new blog, Solange gives her industry haters a big, “F*ck you!”
Now I recall Solange recording a similar song telling her haters to eat a fat one - but maybe that was her sister Beyonce.
The song uses the track from Kanye’s “Everything I Am” as inspiration to tell her story:

Solange cautions that the song is in no way a diss track aimed at any specific individual or artist within the industry. But she does name her sister Bey, Ashanti and Keyshia Cole in the song. Solange makes it clear that she intends to blaze her own trail whether the industry like sit or not.
“I feel that many people can relate to this song outside of the industry and that’s why I want to share,” writes Solange. This is the first song off the mixtape series coming out soon named “I Can’t Get Clearance…”

People on this site have always complained about that because it so rarely happens here. This is a small community so the chances of being first here is much better than on sites that let anyone comment. Personally I would prefer that a trend not form because you know it people will be calling first, second, third, forth, etc, but it’s not really an issue here so I got over it. Some people clearly have not.

The people who talk about the corner do make intelligent and sometimes funny comments on the topic. I read those comments. I just skip the corner comments because it got a little stale after a while. We all disagree with Sandra most of the time so everyone can be sent to the corner.

YES, “First” does get on my nerves. Absolutley. And I surely don’t want this site to turn into ****.com. But, I wasn’t in fear of this site turning into 50 posts of “First” before the actual real first comment b/c I know that Sandra will stop that before it gets out of hand. The corner just kept going on and on and on, though… I understood the point of the corner… when a commenter said something clever or against the grain, she was sent to the corner.

I checked out PYT’s blog community and it is really cool. The format is great for people who want to talk about whatever. I don’t think it’s anything against Sandra so I’m not going to look at this as a defection despite this extremely petty argument that is going on and being instigated by a handful of people. I won’t “infiltrate” their community because based on the comments I read everyone is not welcome, but I do like it. I guess toosexy saying 1st just got people going. I know PYT didn’t mean for that to happen.
PYT is always giving shouts out to Sandra. No hate at all. Like Sandra said; big difference between a blog and a message board. And PYT allows anyone to join… we talk madd shi* about the haters but, she will be the first one to say 1. Sandra rocks and 2. Anybody is welcome.
The first thing is annoying because why is it necessary to say that? If you just post your comment and it’s the first one, isnt it obvious you’re first?
The corner, which is a little silly, but I get it. People get sent to the corner for making an outragous comment.

A former coworker of mine had a similar situation and her solution was to take her lunch break at 3:00 so she could go pick up her daughter and she did that for the whole 3 years I worked with her.
Please forgive me for butting in. Like I said, I really like the format so it’s likely that I will be checking it out. I just wanted to throw in a potential solution that no one else mentioned.

I don’t like it, I can barely understand what she’s saying. Artist don’t sing anymore, they sing from their throat not their lungs. Where’s the voice? Ans she sounds sort of like Beyonce.
Why do these artist act like they don’t care. They can’t handle the comments that just reflect people’s opinion’s. The internet will expose that, we the people didn’t truly have a voice until the internet, now these artist can’t handle it.
wow…to explain the corner..someone said it best. it was based upon you leaving a crazy comment on the site. we placed you in the corner becasue if you’ve been on here long enough to know…if you say anything too out the way..sandra will give you a one-way ticket out of here. so, before people would get out of hand we would send them to, as you guys say (the invisible) corner to shut them up!! it was all out of fun.
