T.O.N.Y. (The Other Night Oh Y Did I Do That?) is a feel good track that’s reminiscent of Erykah Badu’s “Tyrone”. I had to listen to this track twice for it to grow on me. And now I love it! Solange is striving to make a difference in this blighted music industry. We appreciate her efforts! We asked her to tone it down a little and she did. We can hear the improvement in her delivery. Her music is about substance, not naked abandon or fluff like her sister Beyonce.

The production is hot. But I really need that CD to be max $7.99 so I can add it to my collection of “things I listen to every blue moon”. Not sure if I want to shell out the $9.98 or $9.99 quit yet.

It’s ok. She doesn’t sound like B on most of it. That’s an accomplishment. I still don’t think it will be possible for her to establish her own identity when her voice sounds just like B’s. I admit she is a great song writer though. Maybe she should head up a group now that B isn’t doing that anymore.
I actually like this one. Sounds good. The only other song I really liked that she made was Feelin’ you.
