Actor Morgan Freeman was released from a Memphis hospital where he was treated for a broken arm, broken elbow and shoulder damage sustained in a car accident earlier this week.
Freeman told TV show “Entertainment Tonight” he was released from the hospital just after 12 noon today and he was feeling fine.
“I’m doing very well. I feel real good. I just really, I thank the staff at Elvis Presley medical facility and many, many thanks to my many well-wishers. It’s great to know people care about you.”
Earlier this week, it was confirmed Morgan is divorcing his wife of 24 years, Myrna Colley-Lee. Morgan’s business partner Bill Luckett said the couple had been separated “for legal and practical purposes,” since December 2007.
They have two children together, and Freeman has two children from previous relationships.
There was no word on whether Freeman’s girlfriend, Demaris Meyers, who was also injured in the car accident, was released from the hospital.

Okay, but i’m not sure how i feel about morgan now…i mean, divorcing your wife after all those years of marriage, probably just for a younger woman…it just hurts to know that dam/n, is there any man that can just be faithful, truly love someone and endure until life’s end? I mean da/mn, we have to worry even after 20 plus years of marriage, that our man, OLD MAN by that time, will still leave us for some other woman…truly saddens me. I’m not sure if i’m still a fan of his. Moral character, even in hollywood, is huge for me…it determines whether or not i will support someone, spend my hard earned money…i’ll have to truly search my heart over this one…i’ve been a fan of his for so long. But i am glad he’s getting better.
And that’s some fu/cked up shyt though…his girlfriend, the 48 year old, was a family friend, more a friend of his wife’s…and i don’t care what he says, i know they were messing about before the separation, in fact, it’s probably what caused the separation..that’s messed up Morgan! Sleeping with your wife’s friend!
His wife must be a good woman because most women would have been bitter and went to the media…instead, being the sweetie that she seems (cause i would have blasted his as/s) she agreed with him to have a silent separation, and not go through the whole divorce and make a public for practical purposes and money, etc.
But see how god works! Everything done in the dark will come to the light..this accident brought out what he’s been trying to hide in the closet, and his character and deeds are revealed. Shame, shame, shame.
I am so over Morgan Freeman right about now. Your wife’s best friend and a wheat woman on top of it all. Lawd Have Mercy!
