Solange recently performed her hit single “I Decided” live at the Stone Soul Picnic 2008. She sounded great! The sign of a great performer is one who doesn’t allow distractions to throw them off rhythm. When an excited fan joined Solange on stage, Solange never missed a beat. She seamlessly involved him in her show by shooing away the overanxious security guards.
God forbid if it had been Beyonce. That poor man would have been T-boned by six burly security guards - each fighting over a piece of him. Beyonce would have refused to continue until even his hat was removed from the stage. How dare he - a mere fan - trying to dance with her highness Beyonce? That $100 concert ticket doesn’t entitle fans to breathe the same air she breathes!
This is what the industry needs right now: a young artist who boldly turns her back on the path her sister took to success. A young lady who blazes her own trail to show the younger girls that you don’t have to sell sex to make good music.

The video was alright. She did handle it well, but definitely should be careful.
I think she is riding the heels of her sister and as soon as she makes it big Sandra will hate on her just like Beyaki.

Altho I have a bit of new found respect for the woman after seeing how she handled this….Very funny,,,,This fool was on stage texting his mama IM DANCINNNN WIFF SOLAAAAAAAANGE.lmao. However I’m perplexed at how slow security was to handle this. A strange man jumps on stage with a female performer, and it takes security almost 60 seconds to intervene???? Not cool. Many times the assailant plays the roll just to get close….I know its not that serious, but remembering when Monica Seles got stabbed…It can indeed be that serious at times. But yeah Solange seems carefree and jolly. Hell Id be too if my fam was ballin.lol

He was all dancing on the stage and tryna text on his phone at the same time me and my friends were cracking up…I loved Solanges performance.,….she sounds better in person.

If I were Beyonce and someone jumped on stage with me, I’d let my security get them too. There are stalkers and nuts out there and she has to be safe. Doesn’t make her a snob or anything - just cautious. Your $100 ticket (is that what YOU paid, Sandra?) does not entitle you to get on stage - just watch the show from your seat.

If this wasn’t staged, I have a problem with security not giving a D@MN about Solange’s safety. I don’t know, but I feel like this was planned. Solange IS a Knowles, and I just can’t believe that security would let a plump crackhead walk up on her like that.
To be honest, I think Solange is edgy but I also think a lot of this is a “planned persona”. If it’s not, I’d be surprised.

Solange has grown on me. I will be buying her album when it finally comes out. Although I love her down to earth personality and how she handled the situation, I’m mad at how slow her security was. She sounds good live and the performance was hilarious when ole dude came on the stage. Kudos to Solange for being a great sport.
