About two weeks ago, I was driving down Peachtree street heading to the Apple store at Lenox Square Mall, when this song came over my car speakers.
The lyricist’s rhymes captured my imagination like no other rap song I’ve heard in a long time. My XM satellite radio was tuned to “The Rhyme”. I glanced down at the display to see the name of the artist and title of the song.
The title of the track was “Secret Wars” by The Last Emperor. The song is a brilliant narration of a battle to the death between Marvel comic book Heroes taking on the nicest emcees in the business (Jay Z is not included, by the way).
