I hope you had a nice Christmas holiday with your families and friends. If you took pictures with your new camera phones, please send them in so I can post 'em.

I'll start off with my pictures from last night's little get together with the fam at my place. But I'm not posting mine if you don't send in yours.

So let's get it! :)

[EDITED] I forgot to add my email. Send your Christmas pics to sandra @ (remove the spaces).

Yesterday (yes, Christmas day) I received a call from a newspaper friend over in London (my birthplace), who informed me that rumors are running rampant over there about Beyonce and the new X Factor winner, Alexandra Burke.

It seems Beyonce is busy courting the extraordinarily beautiful Alex something fierce!

My friend said Bey has been burning up the phone lines calling Alex daily. And she said Bey rcently sent Alex on a shopping expedition to high end boutiques in London on her dime so Alex could buy clothes to wear with her on tour.

My source said Beyonce, 27, was sooo impressed with Alex that she has invited the 20-year-old to go on the road with her and record a single together!

According to The People newspaper, Alex couldn't believe her ears when her idol told the show's producer Simon Cowell, "I want to work with this lady. She is going to be a massive star."

A source told The People newspaper:

"In the dressing room, Beyoncé told Alex she'd like to work with her in the future and suggested the possibility of recording a new single together. She also said she'd love Alex to take part in her UK tour, possibly as a support act, although nothing is set in stone yet." (LINK)

They say Beyonce and Alex first laid eyes on each other during rehearsals for X Factor -- and the two have been inseparable ever since!

Burke is the record holder for most singles sold in a 24-hour period in London. Her single "Hallelujah" sold 105,000 copies in one day. But she certainly isn't an established artist. And nothing the 20-year-old has accomplished musically warrants all this attention that Bey is lavishing on her.

I hear Alex is so smitten with Bey that she has sworn off men. She recently told a fashion magazine that men were a waste of her time and space! (LINK)

Does any Beyonce Stan ever remember Bey showing THIS much interest in another woman?

Hey Sandra-

Happy Holidays! I'm writing to you because I know you have old school Fridays and I wanted to put in my request! I want to request "Kissing You" by Total! I completely forgot about this song until I heard it on the radio not long ago! I LOVED Total. This song brings me back to my younger teenage years when the love I gave was pure and innocent.

Diddy needs to reunite this group and forget about all these manufactured garbage he's been putting out.

Legendary singer and actress Eartha Kitt passed away Christmas day from complications related to colon cancer. She was 81.

From HuffPo:

Eartha Kitt, a sultry singer, dancer and actress who rose from South Carolina cotton fields to become an international symbol of elegance and sensuality, has died, a family spokesman said. She was 81.

Andrew Freedman said Kitt, who was recently treated at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, died Thursday in Connecticut of colon cancer.

Kitt, a self-proclaimed "sex kitten" famous for her catlike purr, was one of America's most versatile performers, winning two Emmys and nabbing a third nomination. She also was nominated for several Tonys and two Grammys.

Her career spanned six decades, from her start as a dancer with the famed Katherine Dunham troupe to cabarets and acting and singing on stage, in movies and on television. She persevered through an unhappy childhood as a mixed-race daughter of the South and made headlines in the 1960s for denouncing the Vietnam War during a visit to the White House.

Through the years, Kitt remained a picture of vitality and attracted fans less than half her age even as she neared 80.

Hey Sandra. Merry Christmas. I HAD to let u know you have gotten some TOTALLY wrong info up. That song was recorded years ago for Joc's album and we all collectively decided that WASN'T it. I don't want my fans to be distracted by this. They know I'm hard at work at making the right music for me. They will hear that in my heart on recent duets like the one with me and my good friend Keyshia [Cole]. I would appreciate u telling them the truth like u usually do. Thanks Sandra and Merry Christmas.

G'morning to the lucky ones who have to work today! I'll be here for a couple of hours and then I'm going to hit the mall to buy gift cards for my family and call it a day.

Today is the best shopping day of the year because retailers are slashing prices like crazy to move Christmas inventory out the door! Hopefully the mall won't be too crowded so I can get in and get out quickly.

Anyway, this track is my favorite Beyonce song ever. Not that I'm an expert on Bey songs. "Hello" is the only Beyonce song that I like enough to listen to -- not just all the way through, but repeatedly.

Bey's oversinging is annoying and distracting, but the lyrics and the backing track are beautiful.

Beyonce hails from the school of oversinging where singers are taught to scream if they don't have the vocal dexterity to hit those high notes.

A real singer would have done this song some justice.

Earlier today I spoke with popular radio personality Porsche Foxx who reached out to to talk about her very successful coat and toy drive, which I will get to in a minute.

Porsche didn't want to discuss her reasons behind her controversial exit from V-103, but I persisted by asking the right questions.

Porsche Foxx's departure from V-103 came to light when her boss Reggie Rouse sent out an email announcing her termination from the "People's station." The email was forwarded to people outside the station who had no business reading it, and that sparked wild rumors which Porsche says are unfounded.

On Thursday and Friday of last week, Porsche joined Elizabeth Omilami of Hosea Williams Feed the Hungry and Homeless to hold her 9th Annual Porsche Foxx Community Force Coat & Toy Drive at the Kroger at 6055 Old National hwy.

Over 1800 coats and toys were collected to benefit the Hosea Williams Feed the Hungry and Homeless Program. This is the first year that Porsche held her coat drive without the support and reach of V-103.

Porsche was very emotional as she talked about her former listeners who stopped by and took the time to donate toys and coats especially in a spiraling economy when they can barely make ends meet themselves.

"I really appreciate the people coming out and supporting me and giving," she said. "We're in a recession. It really brought tears to my eyes. A lady came up to me and said, 'hey, I lost my job and I don't know what I'm going to do for my kids for Christmas but we want to give you coats'. And that just really warmed my heart because I feel like most of the people who gave are really experiencing hard times themselves. That's why I think this year's coat and toy drive probably spoke the loudest out of all of them. God has been good. I really want to send a big thank you to Miss Scott and Miss Whipple in community affairs at Kroger and the entire Kroger staff."

In response to my endless questions about the drama that went on at V-103, Porsche sighed and said emphatically, "You know, if anybody read the AJC, drugs or alcohol had nothing to do with this! Absolutely nothing! I think it was a matter of each of us wanting to go in a different direction. I've never been one to chase rumors because, in that case, I would spend all of my time trying to address rumors. I really appreciate all of my fans. They kept me number one in a city this size. That really says a lot!"

In a very revealing and emotional moment, Porsche said she found a lump in her left breast last month. "Anybody who experiences that and you don't know what it is, it's challenging." Porsche said she found solace and comfort in the words of former WSB Anchor Jacquita Williams, who also found a lump in her breast and successfully completed chemotherapy treatments.

"I want to thank Jacquita for her encouraging and strengthening words. Thank God the lump is benign, but I will have it removed on January 26th."

Porsche said the ordeal of the diagnostic testing and multiple doctor visits wore on her emotionally and mentally. But she never let on to her V-103 family about her cancer scare. She revealed the news only to close personal friends and family.

Still, she said a conflict arose when station management [Rick Caffey] asked her to cancel one of her doctor's appointments and she refused. Porsche said the station was not supportive of her during that time.

But she defended the program director, Reggie Rouse, with whom she said she shared a good working relationship.

Porsche indicated that Caffey's request to cancel her appointment was the last straw.

"That was the biggest conflict with V-103 and I," Porsche said. "It was part of the procedure to schedule to have [the lump] removed and I refused to cancel it."

Porsche said the conflict with station management over her doctor appointment was around the time she was let go from V-103. She said there was no indication of problems leading up to her dismissal from the station.

"We had a conversation and that led to us deciding to go in different directions. But that was the straw that broke the camel's back for me!"

Porsche said she didn't want to dwell on the negative. She asked everyone to keep her in their Prayers when she goes in to have her lump removed on Jan. 26. "I want to encourage women to continue their breast exams because that's how I found it -- in the shower. I wasn't even thinking about stuff like that!," she said. "Women don't need to wait until their 40 and 50 to start thinking. That was a old myth."

Porsche alluded to the fact that she might be back on the air in this market very soon: "I'm excited about the many opportunities that are presented to me," she said. "I'm excited about what I do. I'm passionate about what I do and I am committed to the community. I even expect to venture into TV. That's what I love to do!"

Good morning Sandra,

My name is Nay and I am one of the owners of So Exquisite (a new event planning company ready to dominate the south so be on the look out). I am a huge fan of your website and I was laughing when I saw the post about the mail you received on 12-18. I work for the customer service line 1-800-ASK-USPS and its amazing the kind of things these mail carriers do and some get away with it. As my customers say "Only The Government". LOL. But I like the way you handled the situation. Instead of calling and complaining, you took matters into your own hands. Everybody listen: if you want something done about your issues with USPS follow Sandra example. LOL (but I am serious). Ne ways the main reason I'm writing is because I wanted to share this picture with you. I ran into and got the privilege of kicking it with Mr. Independent himself Webbie when he came thru the mile high city. I know he was disappointed cuz there wasn't really a crowd, but hey, he got paid to stand around and look fly. I know that the other fans were disappointed cuz they paid $30 to look at him. But me and my G.U.C.C.I girls had fun.

But keep up the good work and Happy Holidays.

So Exquisite
