Buh Bye Sen. Daschle

Amid growing concerns about his tax problems, Sen. Tom Daschle withdrew his name from two White House gigs as secretary of health and human services AND White House health czar (whatever that is).

Do you think his conscience got the best of him? Or maybe Barack Obama glanced at his own dwindling poll numbers and broke out in a sweat before throwing Daschle up under the bus with the rest of his former associates.

I guess one tax cheat on staff (Timothy Geithner as Treasury secretary) is enough.

i saw a lot of wasteful spending that can wait..its supposed to be a emercengy thing they can trim that easily to 500-300 billion

I LOVE THIS…

When President Bush was giving BILLIONS of dollars a month to a PRIVATE MILITARY COMPLEX (Blackwater)…paying them to do what our MILITARY DOES FOR PRATICALLY NOTHING…

Auntie didn’t have a word to say bout that…and those BILLIONS of dollars that we have thrown away to Blackwater, Haliburton (Cheney’s co.), etc., etc. is the main reason why this country is http://www.beyondbroke.com...

But the MINUTE a President says…we’re going to spend billions of dollars on social programs and putting folks to work and making sure women have access to birth control and making sure our national monuments are in order, etc., etc….you know…take care of the “working class” people in the country…not just give tax cuts to the rich who take the money and put it into tax shelters…OUTSIDE of this country…

NOW THE BILL IS FULL OF FAT!!!

Well…one President’s “FAT” is another President’s signed “LAW”…

The only people who will get work from that pork bill are construction workers and people who know how to put fences around dog parks. I noticed you didn’t mention that $500,000 that goes to CA to build a dog park. You know, throw a fence around some grass and stick a few pooper scoop stations in the grass? That doesn’t cost $500,000.
But, hey, people can always apply to screw bulbs into gov. buildings. $100,000 goes to buy light bulbs! That item in the bill will create a grand total of 2 jobs. That’s 2 people to screw in $100,000 worth of light bulbs.
