Obama Taking Entourage of 500 To Europe
When Barack Hussein Obama travels to Europe this week, he’ll be accompanied by an entourge of 500 including 200 secret service personnel. Meanwhile, the First Lady Michelle Obama will travel a little lighter with only 8 assistants at her beck and call.

More than 500 officials and staff will accompany the president on his tour this week – along with a mass of high-tech security equipment, including the $300,000 presidential limousine, known as The Beast. Fitted with night-vision camera, reinforced steel plating, tear- gas cannon and oxygen tanks, the vehicle is the ultimate in heavy armoured transport.
In addition, a team from the White House kitchen will travel with the president to prepare his food. As one official put it: “When the president travels, the White House travels with him, right down to the car he drives, the water he drinks, the gasoline he uses, the food he eats. America is still the sole superpower and the president must have the ability to handle any crisis, anywhere, any time.”
US security teams have already carried out three visits to prepare for Obama’s first official visit to Britain. The first was a “site survey”, the second a “pre-advance visit” which was carried out to pick sites that the president would visit. Finally there was the “advance trip”, which took place last week. Its purpose was to set up equipment, sweep venues for electronic bugs, test food for poison and measure air quality for bacteria.
Obama will start his first presidential visit to Europe when he steps down from the US presidential jet, Air Force One, at Stansted airport on Tuesday. The Boeing 747-200B is fitted with its own gym, electronic defence units and shielding to protect its complex communication devices from radiation from nuclear blasts. Among the officials on the flight will be a military officer carrying America’s nuclear missile launch codes.

500+ entourage is excessive and flashy which is typical obama … to the point of being cartoonish. Which, is the reason he’s not and won’t be taken seriously at the summit.

In his first two months Obama has outspent every other president in history. This trip will cost an additional untold millions of dollars. Obama campaigned on a platform of lies. He promised to hit the ground running to help the American people who are losing their homes and jobs. All he has done is given federal aide to millionaires and corporations while throwing crumbs at the American people. When it’s all over Obama will be the worst president in American history.
In your dreams Sandra. He will never be WORSE than Bush! Also he turned down money(100K) to re decorate the White House and decided to use his OWN money. Bush did NOT use his oil money to do the same. I am still waiting for CNN/FOX/MSNBC to run this story.

That’s a lot of people, though. I think Michelle’s entouraged is mixed in that. Obama knew that if she brought all those people they would have called her a diva or something. So, he sent her ahead, and brought all those people for her. He’s president, he doesn’t care what people think.
Sarah Palin is still thinking about running in 2012..this should be interesting.
One other time, a reader starting commenting about the “Ameruro(sp)” or one global currency. It was interesting…I hope that person will post again. Especially since that’s what this trip is supposed to be about…the G2 Summit.

The Kool Aid must be spiked nowadays. Obama has spent more money in 50 days in office, then Bush did in 8 years.
Reality is harsh and so I can see why many would rather live in fantasies then to come to grips that Obama has proven to be a lousy President in such a short time.

Yes, Bush lied and this is why I can’t stand him. But the current President who promised ‘change’ is basically continuing the policies of Bush. The sneakiness in Washington as well as the lack of transparency (a billion dollar stimulus packaged passed without ANYONE reading it, for instance) is still going on.
Obama is nothing but a continuation of Bush.

This reminds me of a person that hates their new boss, and spend countless time emailing everybody about how much they hate their boss, and when someone tells them to get another job, they say, “I can’t…..all I can do is just whine about it”
If you are not prepared to go to the white house and put up the picket signs and find a way to contact yoour senator to tell Obama he is wrong, then what’s the point?
I dont’ agree with EVERYTHING that’s going on with this spending, but should I boycott the lil 20 cents that’s being added in my check? Talk is cheap and sometime hilarious. I appreciate information on Obama and Bush, but talking behind a computer is not going to bring bout any kind of change.

I have wonder, if you are so astute then why can’t you see what’s happening?!? The policies and/or agenda of the Democratic didn’t happen overnight. Obama laid out a distinct agenda out prior to being elected and immediately changed it after he was elected.
How long do you suggest we wait before deciding to do or say something?
I’ve always been politically active (and I don’t mean just writing comments) regardless of the president.
Im NO kool-aid drinker..lol! Even though I voted for this man, I dont agree with some of his decisons that were made. I feel that he is almost doing the samething Bush was doing this past 8yrs but Obama is waaaay MORE intelligent.
I’ve picketed the White House…State House…and City Hall. And, I will be at a Tea Party on April 15th.

I’m writing about what this post is about, not EVERY Obama issue…….
Could it be possible that this is just a security issue and not an Obama issue? We are in a different day and age and not only are Americans despised and the target of drama, but to top it off he is black which makes him an even bigger target. We have something now that we have never had and the powers that be are taking care of security period!!!!
Damn, I went with my students on a field trip here in Houston and met Laura Bush; they did a damn security check on all of the adults. Possibly the kids too! Plus, it was more secret service than I could count. They did so many security sweeps before we arrived, after we arrived, and when she left that it was crazy.
