First let me start by saying that I am a very avid reader of your site. I feel that I keep coming back because I never know what I will find and I definitely like the sometimes investigative side that you put into blogging (which others do not), along with the various political perspectives that you take. I want you to know that I definately stopped drinking the kool-aid, but I beg to differ on a number of your conservative views although I find some thoughts refreshing and definately disgustingly hilarious that you faithfully watch Hannity’s show. Anyway, I wrote this email to let you know that I feel that your post on Desiree Roger’s was extremely disrespectful!!!!!! As Wendy Williams would say “LOOK DOWN!” lol, Im shocked and appalled that you would take it upon yourself to disrespect another black woman, who definitely has her shit together and label her as a “jump-off!” Where is your proof Sandra???!!!! Please I would loooooove to see it!!! As a black woman (like so many others) who continues to bust her ass to get ahead, and definitely not on my back or knees, but with my brain, I have to say that it is encouraging to see black women who have made it. SO, maybe you should think about that before you start throwing dirt, because we ALL reap what we sow!!!

PRRREEEAAAAAAAACCHHHHHH Denee! I’ve been going at Sandra everytime she comes with the side ways posts about Desiree. She wasn’t known nationwide but she has long been respected as a great businesswoman and acknowledged for that in the Chi. She was always listed as one of the top 5 businesswoman in Chicago for as long as I’ve been checking for the list.

It’s sad that when a strong, powerful woman of color (THE FIRST ONE)gets this position, now she’s wrote off as the personal secretary, saying the position was made up especially for her, and that she’s a jumpoff. I am TEAM DESIREE all day.

I agree, and have asked before where do you get some of your stories because sometimes you just say things and don’t have any facts to back them up. I’m far from a blogger, but blogging is not getting a picture and then posting it with your own made up story as news. I could see if you had a little info to back up your story but some things are just pulled out of thin air or based on assumptions.

I think the pollen count has something to do with sinus infections (not sure). I think is the time of year most people get them – beginning of spring and fall. Even my eyes were watering and I was sneezing and I’ve never had a sinus infection…several others in my family do.

Also, I’m making a conscious effort to stop calling obama supporters ‘kool-aid drinkers’. LOL. Kinda hard though … since I’ve got 30 packs of kool-aid in my kitchen. Still, I’ve notice how easily people get offended when I say “Do you drink kool-aid?” ROFL

anyhoo. I like this site but sometimes there are undeniably wild posts. I’ve come to believe they’re just on for hits and clicks. The ones that have insinuated or outright stated that Desiree is the POTUS’s jump off are sad though because this is an example of the rampant hating we sistas like to do to each other.

Hating on Desiree is also hating on Michelle, for obvious reasons! This is a real shame and, in fact, this is not the only blog I’ve seen these kind of comments on.

Our own self hatred is really sad, sistas we have got to do better. Here are two strong, successful, EXCEPTIONAL black women we should be emulating and celebrating, not dogging out!

Desiree doesn’t deserve this and I’m sure there is nothing going on between her and the President, there’s no way that sort of thing would be going on undetected by now, what with Rush Limbaugh and all the other Obama haters skittering around trying to ruin things.
