Actress Tichina Arnold, left, and Malinda Williams, right, attended my nephew DJ D-Nice’s birthday party at Taj in NYC last night. I can’t tell you how old he is. It’s a family secret. Let’s just say he ages well.
Newcomer Jeremih posed in the dressing room between sets during Power Live at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill last night in NYC. Jeremih, who was in Atlanta last week, will return to the A next week where he has a few gigs on tap. Jeremih is really popular with the Kids all of a sudden.

R&B legend Al B. Sure showed R&B singer The Tony Rich Project some old school love. Yes, The Tony Rich Project is his name.
NY Radio and TV personality Egypt introduced R&B crooner Al B. Sure last night at VIBE’s VSessions LIVE! salute to Black Music Month at Joe’s Pub in NYC. They say Egypt is really down to earth. They don’t say the same about Al though.

I remember the Tony Rich Project! He was sort of a one-hit wonder, but my Dad used to play his CD all the time. It was very solid.
Old school rap artists knew the dj makes or breaks you.Thats why they always shouted them out or nominated them for president. what about Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince? Or do you mean still performing?

I loved that first album Tony Rich had in 1995… Actually come to think of it there was a ton of good music in 1995. Now we have songs like Birthday Sex topping the charts.

I met him once when he was dating my sister. Way back in the late 80’s early 90’s. He had on a long black fur coat, but it was not winter time.
Al B. looks like he’s starting to lose his hair…..or somebody jacked up his haircut…..LOL
