Obama’s personal doctor opposes Socialized health care
Obama’s personal physician for 22 years, Dr. David Scheiner, adds his voice to the growing opposition to Barack Obama’s national health care bill.
Scheiner, 71, was Obama’s doctor from 1987 until he entered the White House; he vouched for the then-candidate’s “excellent health” in a letter last year. He’s still an enthusiastic Obama supporter, but he worries about whether the health care legislation currently making its way through Congress will actually do any good, particularly for doctors like himself who practice general medicine. “I’m not sure he really understands what we face in primary care,” Scheiner says. “He doesn’t see all the pain, it’s so tragic out here. Obama’s wonderful, but on this one I’m not sure if he’s getting the right input.” READ MORE…

Nothing beats a failure but a try. Something needs to be done about Healthcare. I hope they figure out a plan that works for drs, ins co and most of ALL PATIENTS that need access to healthcare.
His Drs opinion is NO more valueable than mine or anybodys elese. You have drs and nurses on BOTH sides of this issue.
This is more than just about insuring the uninsured, Obama doesn’t think anyone is smart enough to take care of themselves.

Thank you anti-PC! Obama is obviously clueless. He is a very arrogant man who has distorted views of socialism and capitalism. If he’s so worried about the 45 million uninsured Americans (mostly illegals) why doesn’t he just insure them instead of trying to destroy the health system? Obama should go back to being a junior Senator where he voted ‘present’ on every bill.

its ok for people who have health ins to complain, but for people who dont have health ins its no joke. u cant just pop into the dr office because u have a cold, u have to wait until u have the swine flu before they will do anything about your health its preventive health care that keeps you well.
no dr doesnt want anybody cutting down his ability to make a payment on his 3 rd house. you know drs get paid for every prescription they write by certain drug companies. so hes not looking out for you, hes looking out for himself. bobody but a fool puts the fox, dr and drug companies in charge of the hen house, the American people.

I am blessed to have health insurance but you do have to have preventaive care. I know ppl on medicade who would call an ambulance for a ear ach or the sniffles because they did not have a car or money for a cab. I have had the same doctor for 20 yrs. and I can call him and he will squeeze me in for an appointment. I don’t want a nationalized health care system for all but want all to have affordable/free care. Don’t include those who already have it but noone should be without health care.
Socialism? How stupid and 1950s does that sound? People can take care of themselves, but do need some help from government from time to time. There is a class of people who have never needed anybody. Got everything they have on their own, never had government intervention of any sort. The rest of us needed public school, the free lunch program so that we could get to the point where we could pay some of the money back in taxes. Maybe we could make paying for the new public health system volentary, like we ask for a dollar on the tax forms for the presidential campaigns. I got my dollar.

I am so glad that I voted for a man who will NOT bow down to the ones who have access to SOCIALZED TOP NOTCH HEALTHCARE PAID WITH BY MY TAX DOLLARS (those would be the senators and congressmen)…but who will not allow ANYONE ELSE THAT SAME ACCESS!!!

The US as usual is late to the table just like with gun bans and all the other society improving things that the rednecks and conservo bots refuse to implement here.
And I’m confused, people are hollering socialism but your paying taxes. Where do you think your tax money is going? Your helping the welfare system, the unemployment system. State taxes help pay for free education and programs like WIC. Socialism, OMG you guys sound like modern day McCarthy’s.

The difference is that people here do not want Obama forcing free health care on everyone. If he wants to provide health care for those uninsured Americans then he needs to put more money into Medicaid so they can all benefit. Obama is trying to run private insurance companies out of business and make his government insurance the monopoly. And you know what happens anytime there is a monopoly.
