Janet Jackson was a prescription drug addict like her brother
As most of you know, pop icon Micahel Jackson passed away after a possible prescription drug overdose two weeks ago.
It turns out that his sister Janet Jackson was also addicted to painkillers. Dr. Allan Metzger of Beverly Hills was reprimanded by the board of medicine in September 2000 for writing prescriptions for Janet in her chef’s name.
According to TMZ.com, the letter states, “You engaged in fraudulent medical practice based on prescriptions written for an international entertainer, using a false/fictitious name.” TMZ identified the entertainer as Janet Jackson.
Dr. Metzger told TMZ he simply prescribed diuretics (water pills) and a Hepatitis B injection in the late 80s for Janet, who may have been using the diuretics as a dangerous substitution for dieting. But the board of medicine usually doesn’t threaten a doctor’s license for writing scripts for water pills and a shot.
So it’s safe to assume that Janet was also hooked on prescription meds like her brother.
Dr. Metzger is an autoimmune disease specialist. Supposedly Michael Jackson had lupus in addition to the skin disease vitiligo, which we sincerely doubt. Dr. Metzger traveled with Jackson during the HIStory Tour in 1996.

I remember hearing she had certain std meds prescribed under other names but there is no validity to it

sandra u ought to stop. the doc did clear up the ‘herpes’ rumor. she wanted the hepatitis shot so that she wouldn’t catch anything. understood. sorry janet for playing part in a vicious rumor.
What!?!?! Janet is now a drug addict because she may have taken diet pills in the late 80’s? No not diet pills cause you can get a little jolt from those with the caffeine and all, but WATER PILLS. Come on Sandra.
I challenge you to post a rational blog today. What’s up with your girl Sarah Palin? I know she’s an airhead, but surely she doesn’t think she can have a political career after this stunt. My guess is talk show host. What do you think?

Didn’t Janet’s ex-hubby come out with this story too when they divorced…Rene’ (cant remember his last name). He said all kind of prescriptions were written for her and him in her staff’s name.
So Sandra, as a RN, are you saying you “sincerely doubt” MJ’s vitilgo skin disease and decision to do depigmentation therapy to match the lighter blotches? Please please explain.

You’ve seen the photos of Michael jackson since he was a child. There is no evidence of vitiligo on his face in any of the pics. Normally when a person has vitiligo they use cream to match their skin color. I have never in my life heard of a black person undergoing expensive “depigmentation therapy” to make their entire body lighter just to match a few light splotches! When you take into account all the other surgeries Michael did to himself, it should be clear to you what Michael was really trying to achieve. Remember this is the same Man who claimed his Caucasian children came from his sperm.

Maybe it’s irrelevant to you if one of your kids follows in the footsteps of the Jacksons and gets hooked on drugs too? Maybe it’s irrelevant if your child dies from prescription drug abuse? I refuse to brush the Jackson’s drug use under a rug. Michael Jackson obviously didn’t care about his own legacy and that’s why he ruined it. People will always remember how he died just like they remember that Elvis Presley died on a toilet.
I wouldn’t blame a man I never met for my children doing drugs-I would have more of an influence on them than a stranger
