Propaganda video from the racists at www.keepmidtownsafe.com who are vehemently opposed to the new Vision Nightclub opening in midtown. The racists who own the website have started an online petition that implies that a hip, urban crowd is synonymous with high crime and violence.
What they are really opposed to is the sight of young, hip black professionals who actually have jobs and can afford to drop a couple of hundred dollars in a black establishment every night. The Atlanta City Council should slam this opposition as race based and without merit!
The racists compiled footage of scenes that took place outside other Atlanta nightspots that cater to the younger crowd, but they attributed the scenes to the Velvet Room which is run by the same owners of the new Vision.
Where is the video footage from outside Opera nightclub, which is around the corner from the new Vision Nightclub but caters to a rowdy, non urban, college crowd? Opera stands to lose business if Vision reopens. So I wouldn’t be surprised if the owner themselves were behind the effort to keep the new Vision from opening.
If the midtown residents are so opposed to the new Vision why don’t they move out to the quiet suburbs? Don’t they know they live in the city traffic and noise are inevitable?
Try Gwinnett County. It is pretty quiet.
nah, keep this hip urban crowd right in midtown or downtown. sandra, no need prettying up the write up. nobody wants that bs in their neighborhood; a bz club this will be, u know that. u know pooky and nem just aren’t gone do right. no denial here.
no, stay in a club or bar district.

cant wait bring on the new visions
i don’t live in atl so who cares! opera was nice tho when i went during my vist to the ATL.
Well sorry to say but that is what white people do! I used to live in the Tucker/Northlake Area and there are a lot of old rich white folks. They made a very big stink about “Seasons” Nightclub and they sent petitions, flyers, etc throughout the neighborhoods, not wanting them there because it would cause a lot more crime and property value would go to hell. Now me being a former house owner in that area. Let me just say this
If you ever been in that area, Northlake Mall used to be prestigous but now Parisians moved out and you have a Kohl’s selling discount clothes, majority of the stores in Northlake Mall you can find at the fleamarkets, you have beauty supply store, sports profile, etc.. The entire area had many business shut down and I know several business owners that said that this area is terrible adn they can’t make money because there is no business.
Kinkos used to stay open 24hrs but now closes between 11 or 12pm. The whole area is starting to look run down, Chili closed. But yet they cry about property value!!!
Now my argument since I have NO problems with a night club being there is for one they have a Police precinct across the street of Seasons (they change their name not sure what its called now). ITs the Police job to patrol and keep neighborhoods safe however they rather go out give tickets to law abiding citizens because of course they won’t fight back, pay the tickets and that is big bucks for the county. Why bother with broke ass criminals when the victims are a lot more lucrative.
A nightclub will draw people from all across the city, expose people from areas that may never known it existed. In addition to that they will bring money into these businesses because these old ass rich white folks for one DON”T spend money, they don’t go anywhere. So how are they improving the community!!??
Hey dblaq, that means we’re somewhat neighbors, sometime I go to that LAFitness. I don’t do the club scene in Atlanta at all, so I could care less. If a club was opening right across the street from my overpriced condo, I think I would be a bit peeved.
