Mackenzie’s Stepmother Says She’s Lying (but we already knew that)
One thing I’ve learned from experience as a nurse and working with drug addicts is they are extremely unpredictable and untrustworthy. These people are major manipulators and tend to fabricate lies for attention. You can’t believe a word that comes out of their mouths.
Which is why I ignore celebs (Whitney) who claim to have kicked their drug habits. Once a druggie, always a druggie.
When I heard about the Mackenzie Phillips rape/incest interview with Oprah (who believes every crazy thing these celebs tell her), I knew Mackenzie was making the whole thing up.
According to her stepmother, Michelle Williams, who was married to Mackenzie’s dad — the one Mac claims raped her when she was 19 — Mackenzie has a history of lying and manipulative behavior to get what she wants (drugs). I also wondered if there was a book deal or movie deal in the works. Sure enough, Mackenzie has a book coming out just in time to keep fueling her drug habit.
Showbiz411′s Roger Friedman also suspected Mackenzie was lying and reached out to Michelle Phillips who confirmed Mackenzie is lying to sell copies of her book.
“She told me, then she called me back and said, ‘You know I’m joking.’ I said it wasn’t funny. Mackenzie said, ‘I guess we have different senses of humor.’ John was a bad parent, and a drug addict. But fucking his daughter? If she thinks it’s true, why isn’t she with a good psychiatrist on a couch? I think it’s unconscionable that Oprah would let her do her show. I have every reason to believe it’s untrue. Oprah should be more judicious about who she has on her show.”
“Mackenzie has a lot of mental illness. She’s had a needle stuck up her arm for 35 years. She was arrested for heroin and coke just recently. She did ‘Celebrity Rehab’ and now she writes a book. The whole thing is timed.”
The whole thing is also ridiculous. After the entire pregnant male fiasco, I don’t know why people continue to waste their time watching Oprah’s show.

Why is this about Oprah, when it’s MacKenzie making up the story… funny enough I read that her sister Chynna believes her. Sooo is the stepmother in denial maybe?
I don’t know if she is lying or not but please STOP acting like fathers don’t molest and rape their daughters everyday even w/o drugs being involved. Sad but true.

Hello All. This story could very well be true. Only God, Mackenzie and the dead father knows the real truth. There is a story of incest in the Bible, when Lot took his daughters up into the mountain and they got him drunk and laid with him and got pregnant by him. Funny thing, I have NEVER heard this story preached from the pulpit, NEVER.
The sister, Chynna Phillips, believes it. She said MacKenzie told her 12 years ago about it.

I don’t know if she’s lying, but people do go into denial about stuff like this. Maybe her stepmother doesn’t want to believe that she was married to a sick psycho.

I don’t know why anyone would make something like this up. For some reason I thought I heard the story before and it just got shuffled under the rug. The problem I have is that the first time he had sex with her was on her wedding night when she was 19 and the consenual affair lasted for 10 yrs.
The whole story is sick and sad but I believe her!!!!

One thing about drug addicts with a history of chronic long term drug abuse is they spend most of their adult lives totally coked out. When they wake up from their drug binges, they don’t remember anything. So they fabricate stories to fill in the blank spaces in their memories. That’s why they become experts at lying and manipulative behavior.

I missed the episode. Was that the first time she slept with him? If not then I could see her being brain washed to the point of doing something like that.
And MJ is dead but that doesn’t stop you from referring to his children as “the children he raised as his own”
I feel that whether the sex was consenusal or not (assuming she’s telling the truth) she’s still a victim of, at the very least, mental illness. Maybe in some twisted way, she began to equate sex with her father as LOVE FROM HER FATHER. For many women, their first “intimate” experience with a man, is sex, not being kissed and hugged by daddy as little girls. These women have probably never had intimacy in any form other than sex, and learn to equate sex with love. Of course, this is all my unprofessional opinion.

Yes she admitted she had an affair with her father for 10 yrs but he was shooting her up she was drugged out and so was he and the story is sad all the way around. She also said she had an abortion cause she wasnt sure if the baby was her fathers or hubby.

Let me just say this, my MOTHER was addicted to drugs for over 20 years! I watched her struggle with her addiction and inflict pain on me, herself, and my family. It wasnt untill 2001 she decided to go to rehab and get treatment. She has been CLEAN ever since. So youre WRONG Sandra.

Kudos to your mom if she really is clean. But my experience with drug addicts is they simply substitute one addiction for another.
I’m with dallas214 – my mother was also on drugs for about 2 years – and we are not talking about weed.
She has been clean and sober for almost 20 years and has not replaced one bad vice for another. So, Sandra, I know you have experience as a nurse, but I have experience as a child of a former addict – once they get the mindset to change and be healthy and with support – they do so. My mother is a trainer with a major corporation and is also a real estate agent. So, there is life after drugs.
@Sandra Rose, I think when addicts deal with what led them to drug abuse in the first place and own up to their own bad behavior and makes themselves accountable to others then they can actually rid themselves of the disease. I’m with you, I don’t believe Whitney’s 100% clean, because in public she still blames Bobby and lies about her drug abuse; but other addicts to get & stay clean.
@ KaraZ – you are right. For an addict to truly be clean, they need to confront the issues that triggered their addiction and not blame others. As a matter of fact, part of their recovery is to apologize to those they have wronged and make amends. My mother had to apologize for stealing from us and not being around as a part of her treatment.
The affair started wen she was nineteen. She said she woke to her father having sex with her. And she drifted back into a fog….or something like that…..
I don’t know whether or not she’s lying. Ultimately…thats between her and god. considering that she and her pops were strung out on drugs…..anything is possible

My college boyfriend was a big time coke head (naive me thought he had a bad sinus problem for over a year) and came to me years later to apologize. It was his 4th (and last) stint in rehab in a 3 yr time frame; that was 5 years ago & he’s been clean & sober, got his life completely on track, got married is finally raising his children. I’m happy he finally beat his demons & I believe he beat them for good.

My experience is with drug addicts who had to be hospitalized due to their mental and physical deterioration on drugs. Whitney had to be hospitalized, Mackenzie had to be hospitalized. There’s a difference between a user who does drugs for 20 years and a user who does drugs for 24 hours a day. I have had to inject drug addicts with medication that put them on the floor in less than 30 seconds. So your experience with drug addicts is going to be different from mine.

In my book, drug addicts are extremely selfish and self-centered people. I applaud anyone that can give up drugs.

I hate when they make movies about a book I read so long ago I can hardly remember it. I do remember some of it. Like Daisy said it was written like she couldn’t read or write and I remember the mother did some FOUL shyt to her that I won’t mention. What ever happened to The coldest winter movie? I thought Cash Money brought the rights. I remember them saying Jada was going to play Winter… don’t know why because she is not how I pictured winter. Mia Campbell (if she was sane) has the look of how they said winter looked.
