Source: Sheree Whitfield Won’t Be Around Next Year
According to a well-connected industry source, RHOA cast member Sheree Whitfield won’t be back on the show next year.
This info comes to me from a credible source who said one of the cast members has to go to make room for new blood next season just as DeShawn Snow was let go from last season’s cast.
The booted member was to be newcomer Kandi Burrus, but recent developments changed all that. Now Kandi Burruss has emerged to be the breakout star on show, which isn’t sitting too well with NeNe Leakes who assumed the smack talking role from Sheree.
It seems that Sheree is biting the hand that fed her by refusing to wild out and stir up drama on the show this season because she wants to be taken seriously as a (lol) fashion designer.
But according to my source, Kandi has surprised the show’s producers by emerging as the star of the show. Kandi’s new track “Fly Above” from her upcoming album B.L.O.G. is selling well on iTunes and Amazon,com, and she has the most Twitter.com followers (100,000) out of all the RHOA cast members.
Industry people have expressed surprise that Kandi has come from the behind to become the sentimental favorite of the viewers. But that’s how it goes sometimes. Viewers get tired of all that fake drama.

Seriously though, as much of a fan of Sheree’s I’m not, I dont agree that they should get rid of her. Get rid of Kim, or even Lisa. They’re both boring as hell. I dont think I’d want to be apart of a show where I’d have to create drama just to stay on it. Maybe Kandi will just announce that she’s not coming back and continue on with her music and other projects.

Kandi is the best on the show to me because she is humble and gets along with most of the cast. She has her drama but she isn’t afraid to show she has a human side. Not to mention we knew her BEFORE the show. & her song is good & anyone who can take that tardy for the party song and make it sound buyable deserves props.
Lisa and her unemployeed husband should’ve been the ones getting the boot. Kim is to hated by everyone to get bounced. She adds to the drama they need.

The same reason that Kandi is being seen as the breakout star of the show is the reason NeNe was last year…REALNESS. The reason NeNe isn’t anymore is because she let her popularity and pseudo celebrity status go straight to the head. NeNe is NOT the star of the show but many people realize now that she is working WAY overtime to prove that she is.
I think both some Blacks and YT like Kandi more because she has a legit career and her own money, is well spoken, not unecessarily ghetto, and has/had real life issues (the relationship drama with her mom and AJ, trying to get her career back as an artist, single parent, etc). Her story isn’t concocted and she doesn’t seem to try to milk situations for all it’s worth, she’s living her life the same way I think she would be living it off camera. That’s why I think she’s the most popular on the show.
Now for those who like hot ghetto wannabe trainwrecks to laugh at and shake their head in dismay when they turn their head…that’s what we have NeNe for. Can you imagine her in Beverly Hills KISSING or even hanging out with Grethen from RHOOC last year? ummm NO! I loved NeNe last year but I can’t tolerate her this year. I want season 1 NeNe back.
Sheree IMO was trying to garner more attention this year. IMO if anyone should be leaving it’s Lisa….and I like her but the her and Ed stories are BORING!

Just bc she said she hasn’t changed doesn’t mean she didn’t. She isn’t going to admit to letting the fame go to her head. She seems so fake this year its annoying. Last season she was not as much of a shyt starter as she is this time around. I also see that the producers have cut her air time down this season.

Yes, there are still signs of the old NeNe which is rare but refreshing when I see them but the majority her now is NOT. Loud, crazy NeNe is the NeNe that I love but the thinking she’s the star celebrity, hating on Candy, not letting Kim leave when Sheree was trying to pull her hair out, etc. is NOT the NeNe from Season 1.
I didn’t say anything about NeNe overcompensating because Kandi is there, maybe that’s something you see on your own.
Also, all the editing in the world can’t change what comes out of someones mouth.
I like Kandi. She is not the star of the show. Everyone has been checking her twitter page etc, because of what happened to AJ. Nee-Nee is the same as always. Isc - I read the same thing everywhere about NeNe both on urban and yt blogs. Yt people had never heard of Kandi and some new schoolers had never heard of Xscape but they still liked Kandi’s story.
