Alicia Keys’ new CD cover is all over the Internets and it’s interesting that she looks like an angel on her cover compared to Rihanna’s ‘illuminati’ S&M covers.
Was this by design? Will either CD cover affect record sales?
I’m willing to bet Rihanna’s album will do better than AK’s only because Rihanna has more worldwide reach and a hardcore fan base.

Album covers don’t change how someone sounds OR improves their singing voice. So, while it may catch attention, it does’t influence my buying choices.
And yes, I’ll be buying AK’s CD. Call her what you may, but the girl can sing.

I’ve never been one to buy a CD based on scandel, a book or a magazine yes, CD no. Either you like the artist or you don’t. I don’t think they will sell more units for being a homewrecker or a DV surviver.
Kry Baby Kanye has a new book out today. I did not see anyone trying to promote it. Will it sell without promotion because ppl like him, of course it will. Will I buy his book because he is controversal, NOPE. He does not interest me artistically.

@LovelyLady, whether we like it or not, celebrities are in the public eye and people are going to look up to them for a variety of reasons, whether as fashion or style inspirations or otherwise… thats why it’s doubly important for parents and families of children to remain hands on & teach & live better examples at all times to dilute the crap they’re kids are exposed to on a daily basis.

Then her second album I was like ehh, sophomore flop, the record company rushed. Nothing has been outstanding. Now I realize she blew up on the novelty of the age and skills on first album. Shes not that young girl anymore and so I’ve come to realize she has superstar status without putting out superstar material.
Rhi is a bad mama. Only time will tell if she grows musically for a long term career.

She slapped him and he put her in the wall to calm her down. Perfect example of EQUALLY DANGEROUS! A counselor to DV made a great point that she needs counseling and help or she may find herself right back in an “abusive” relationship one day. I pray that does not happen.
