Obama’s Approval Rating Falls To New Low: 44%

As the economy continues to show no improvement on its downward trend and president Barack Obama’s universal health care bill struggles in the Senate, only 44% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of his overall performance as president. According to the Rasmussen poll, that’s the lowest level yet measured for this president. Previously, his overall approval rating had fallen to 45% twice, once in early September and once in late November.

Nobody I know ever gets polled. As it’s been stated before. It took longer then a year to mess the country up, so I will probably take twice as long to get us out :).

You can insinuate that racism is the main reason for the poll rating but that simply is not accurate.

Sure racism is alive and well in America but I’m sure that Obama’s latest surge is probably more to blame for these new lows.

HOWEVER, what has Obama done that is beneficial to any of us????
What promises has he fulfilled that he preached about on and on during the debates???
He continually talked about bringing our troops home, yadii yahh yahh, and then ships out 30,000 more?? I mean, I dont know about you, but he’s sending ME mixed signals..

He said he was going to bring our troops home from Iraq, I don’t remember him saying anything about Afghanistan. I am going to have to google.
His poll rating is 44%. Wasn’t Bush’s down to 8% before he left office?

I didn’t expect much of an Obama presidency. But, I was hoping that he’d bring the troops home and help Darfur/Sudan regions.

The MEDIA would love everyone to think it is though.

And the Economy has improved dramatically over the past 11 months. Where are you getting your information from, Sandra? By no means are we out of the woods yet, but to say the economy continues on a downward spiral is “misinformation” at best.

And who’s concerned with poll numbers at this point? He’s THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA B!TCHES!!!!

AGAIN, If you don’t like him, you DON’T have to live in the country that he governs.

The President ALWAYS talked about finishing the job in Afghanistan. For anyone who’s paid attention, the troop upsurge should not be NEWS.

The things you learn as the PRESIDENT drastically change your previous outlook before you take office. There is information that he is privy to that you will NEVER be, and that information would definitely scare the SH!T out of you.

For those of us who have no clue what he has to deal with, why don’t we shut up until he gets HALFWAY through his first term before we start throwing stones at the oval office window?

The economy has improved where? On Wall St? Where has it actually improved for the working class?

We are about to experience the second and more severe wave of the recession in 2010. Things are definitely getting worse and will continue to. Believe that.

How is it even possible to make it better by continuing to inflate the money supply which by nature of our fiat currency comes pre-attached with debt? Coupling that with the fact that we’re not investing in ANYTHING that will create returns. That just don’t sense or cents.

It’s more comfortable and convenient to sit in a bubble and think that these politicians have our best interests at heart but they are completely bought and paid for by corporate imperialists.

If unjust war wasn’t right for Bush, it shouldn’t be for Obama either. All these wars are wrong. What do you think Martin would say about it? I’m not comparing, I’m just asking as a point of reference. Violence begets violence. Always has and always will.

There is a stance that must be taken as a head of state to defend and protect the country you lead. Wanting peace is one thing, but I highly doubt the Taliban or Al Qaeda will throw flowers at you if you simply leave the country (Afghanistan) and wish for peace. That’s living in a fantasy world.

There have been wars since the dawn of time. Humanity is inherently FLAWED, so we will ALWAYS have wars. That’s just REALITY.

And most politicians have ALWAYS been bought and paid for by corporatists. That’s what happens in a CAPITALIST society. In my opinion the same philosophy of capitalism that made this country great may ultimately be our downfall.

I guess it depends on what kind of change (some read between the lines) that we get. I am glad that I can go to my job and not have to ration out where else I go because gas prices use to be $4.14 for unleaded. My state finally approved Casinos in Cleveland, Toledo, Columbus and Cincinnati. It creats jobs and revenue and now ppl will gamble in Ohio vs, Detroit or Canada. It really does start with us. It’s easy to vote for a President but if we don’t vote for our “local, state” repensatives we have not served our own state. The President works with every States locals that we voted to be there. One thing about President Obama is that he wanted first time voters to contiune to vote in their local elections. We have “Our Commissoners, Mayors, Congress(wo)men that go to bat for what we want in our Local Community, not just across the board. Our congresswoman got a $19 million grant to have a bioenegry plant in my city. It creates jobs and it will be the first one in Our Country. Yes, Country, not County. This bioenegry plant will take the left overs weeded from farmers and turn it into “disesel”. Did Our President quickly use tax payer money to those not in dier straights, YES, and he knows that and is trying to recoup that money. Did I expect him to bring back welfare indefinately to receipents? NOPE! For those who did not have a job before he was sworn into office, don’t think he was going to hand you a free check on a silver platter. For those who lost their jobs, he has many times extended unemployment benefits. Not directed personally at you but I guess it really does depend on where you live if change happens. Our President does not have the luxuary to change things because he is “Our Presidetn”. The ppl we send to him are really the decision makers.

I think you understand the kind of change that this President represents.

President Obama is not a “transformational” president. He is a “transitional” president. After 8 years of quagmire, there was no way that he would be able to TRANSFORM without first STABILIZING and bringing us back to where we can have as close to a level playing field nationally and internationally. The next president or two will be able to be the transformational ones based on what he gets accomplished during his term(s) in office.

He is not a Wizard with a magic wand who could just come in and do what he wants to do. He is still a politician in a capitalist societty, not Malcolm X or Martin Luther King, Jr.

I think a lot of folks set their expectations too high because he is an inspirational speaker. Those of use who’ve been REALISTS throughout this entire process are pleased with what he has gotten done thusfar, but understand that the ultimate responisibility lies with Congress, State and local elected officials, most of which folks don’t take the time to vote for.

Simply voting for a PRESIDENT doesn’t within itself enact CHANGE. That’s truly drinking the “Kool-Aid”…

You continue to apologize for Obama and say we live in a Capitalist society and should just deal with it. Everyone does deal with it in their own way but that does not mean we can’t resist and try to make it better.

Capitalism in itself is flawed like you have said. It lends itself too easily to the greedy and that is why we live in a oligarchical capitalist society where distribution of wealth and power is in the hands of a very small elite. Nothing will ever change unless the majority of the population wants it to. That’s why they own all major media outlets and control our education system; So they can control what we think. Obama works for THEM.

This is literally like a matrix we’re living in. That movie was a metaphor. This isn’t just our country. This is all over the world. We have the illusion of our own sovereignty as nations but in truth most nations are run by these same international banking elites. From behind the curtain of puppet politicians who do as they are told.

These people are scholars of history and human behavior. They know us inside out. They are social architects. They have learned from monarchies of the past that to retain power and control, it has to be done slowly and silently from behind the scenes. Slowly removing our freedoms in the name of security. Silently setting up world government.

The underlying foundation of it all is eugenics. They want to lower the world population (especially black and brown people) by any means necessary but without waking up mass populations to their true intentions. If enough people woke up to this it would be curtains for them.

It’s good that your local economy is looking up. I totally agree with you about staying involved in the process locally and nationally. We the people really can make a difference if we stay involved. The problem is that most aren’t involved. Whether it’s because we don’t have the time or simply couldn’t be bothered, our elected officials take advantage and go for dolo.

Did you know that the banks that have paid back their bailout money recently amount to about $30 billion? Ironically that is about how much this new surge in Afghanistan will cost us. These are the most sophisticated criminals the world has ever seen. They will never stop until we make them stop.

We have to get over the fact that Obama is just like the rest and start demanding what we deserve, elected officials who truly represent our interests.

The problem is, while we wait for others to stand up and realize what’s going on, we should not sit idly by and let the “sophisticated criminals” trump the capitalist market.

We need to get in where we fit in, and enjoy the lives we have. True, ideal change may not come until we are long gone, and trust and believe, for all their struggles, MLK and Malcolm X were both pretty wealthy men, who had their own share of corporate sponsorships. They launched their movements with the assistance of those in power who wanted to level the playing field at the time a bit more. They were both the sacrificial lambs of the movement.
