John Mayer Breaks Down Onstage
Singer John Mayer broke down onstage during a show somewhere last night. He kind of half-assed apologized for dropping the N-word during a Playboy magazine interview. This is typical narcissistic behavior. When they get called out on their sh*t they give half-assed apologies that are designed to gain sympathy. He doesn’t mean a word in his apology, he just thinks that’s what you want to hear. Deep down inside he’s happy that he managed to attract all this headline grabbing attention that we’re giving him.
A commenter on ONTD transcribed John Mayer’s rambling apology for those of us who couldn’t care less to:
it’s been difficult because in my quest to be clever… in the quest to be clever and try to slither out of what i perceived to be constant persecution or somebody trying to pin me, which may or may not ever really be happening, but i think that it is a lot of the time when it’s actually not. in the quest to be clever, i completely forgot about the people that i love and that love me. and as i have begun to (???) a whirlpool of selfishness, and greediness and arrogance…and thinking if i just continue to be speedy and witty and pull together as many fast words and phrases as i could, that i would be clever enough to buy myself another day without anybody pinning me down and saying ‘you’re a creep’. and when i should have just given that up and played the guitar… so i decided i would try to be as clever as possible all the time. and i did that at the expense of people that i love and that feels absolutely terrible. it feels worse than any headline i thought i could get my way out of. and i think it’s important that you know that everybody on this stage is here playing with me not because they condone what i say in any interview… they are not on this stage because they support what i said, they’re on this stage because they support myself as a possible future grown-up. and maybe they see something that i don’t… so maybe i need to take a break from trying to be clever and spend a little time looking at what they see. cause they’ve done an unbelievable thing standing on this stage and standing by my side tonight. it’s just not worth being clever…. i’m out …. just wanna play my guitar … “

If John Mayer’s plan was to get people talking, he has accomplished that task. He has every blog, including this one, talking about him.

I’m the same way at work and everyone thinks i’m a snob for not participating in the food functions. it’s just a cultural difference. besides, i watch ppl carry the food out on the same carts we carry our mouse cages (i work in a lab). so gross.

I worked for a little bit in an office environment where they had potlucks for any and everything. I never ate the food unless it was something that I brought and I always got it before it was on the table. I was called a snob and that I thought I was better than everybody else for not partaking int the “festivities” (behind my back of course) but I did not give a dang.

I agree , I would of thrown it away too! No matter what race the person is there are some nasty mofo’s out there. I would of not made a big issue of it, I would of took it back to my desk/office and threw it away there…..
I threw out the rest of the cake that was left, all my coworkers are YT, these are the same ppl I have sprayed Oust on for not covering their mouths when they cough and disinfected the whole office twice because of ppl coughing and then touching stuff so they knew I was going to do it, this same chick is the reason I had to rearrange my desk because she kept touching stuff on it while she was sick and using my kleenex.

“we” aren’t always clean either. I don’t know why it has to be “they”. This is so frustrating that everything has to be a racial issue. This is beating the hell out of a dead horse.
I don’t participate in potlucks either. We have a few people around here that have no problem letting you know they only wash on Tuesdays and Saturdays and those same ones lick their dogs in the mouth. I only imagine what their house looks like… yuck.
@ Gypseye, I didn’t mean it as an us Vs. them, I mean’t as I’m the only AA and so they already think I’m mean. So they were calling me a meany but some of them were mouthing “thank you” behind the big bosses back.

No we arent always clean thats true however that ish is nasty and I am always the one at work at functions reminding people to wash they hands and not breath ova the food with the purel in hand for those who dont think they have to wash hands. That is why I do not eat what they bring here. They are forever trying to have potlucks and offer desserts they make. There is one lady that always wants to make this particular dessert, but she is notorious for going into the restroom and not washing her hands before she leaves.

because that reminds me of my co-workers…we had a company-wide food day but my team di not want to participate with the rest of the place because of germs so we had a team food day just for us…ok I was not mad at them for that but…the chick that suggested that we do our own food day has been sucking out of the same dang straw in her cup for the past 3 months i kid u not!!! she has not washed that cup out or anything! One of my other co-workers took a napkin and grabbed the nasty straw out and replaced it with another one last week when she was away from her desk lol. She has had the same cough for months, I wonder why??? needless to saw I don’t touch anything she cooks lol!

@ my old job a lot of the workers were from france and they never washed their hands after using the bathroom. I was told it was cultural…
If one of my other co-workers was in the bathroom w/ one of them she would yell out to them as they where leaving the bathroom to wash their hands…

@ Cheecks when I was in the Navy this guy told me he’s never washed out his coffee cup, (he had been at the command for 5 years!) because it makes the coffee taste better. I put him on my do not eat from list. I’m in charge of the potlucks so if ppl are not on the list I make my plate 1st and then I don’t go back for seconds.

This is the second time this story has been posted, and most posters here don’t even know who this guy is. At this point, it seems as if we are being antagonized into trying to know this boy, and knowing this he called blacks ‘****s’. Why should we be surprised and why should we care? If we hated everyone that called us ****s, we’d hate a lot of people, and that is a lot of poorly spent energy.
It’s more enlightening to just ignore him and move around.

That is nasty!! The office I work in has a cubicle type setting. The cubicles are in groups of about 8. There was a lady on the end of our “group” and she had the nastiest wet cough for about 3 weeks straight. She was not covering her mouth and got 4 other people in our area sick. My cough turned into a bronchial tube infection. People thought I was mean for saying she needs to cover her mouth. I felt really bad after a while.

You are 100% right. White people are not the only people who do nasty things. Unfortunately in my workplace there are very few people of any other race. So my personal experience at work is with white people doing nasty stuff
@ chase, we had a unit from France on our ship for 3wks one time, they only took baths 1 day a week and they did not use deodrant(sp) at all and didn’t wash their hands before getting in the chow line. After they left it we spent the next 2 days cleaning the ship from top to bottom trying to get rid of the smell. And we had to throw away all the bedding they had used.
I learned from this that blacks care more about what is said about Beyonce than what is said about our race… smh

Him not liking or sexing black women is NOT racist but him using a David Duke and other references to make his point was outta pocket IMO. Was I offended and crying racism NO but he did get the *side eye* He could have made his point using different words and I dont know why ppl are acting like its about him not liking black women when its bigger than that IMO. I love John Mayer’s music, and I was so proud of him when he played the guitar at Michael Jackson’s memorial service . However, he gets a serious side eye from me for his White supremacist peen comment. I think he was using the N word as a euphemism, but why would you say you’re sexually allergic to Black women? We have it so hard already, and it’s because of comments like this that men of all colors are so biased towards us. It’s like we’re too strong, opinionated, educated, and exotic, so the men go out and get sista-lites.
He and Obama have a similar voice. Creepy.
I used to love him. His music is brilliant. But like most people (black, white, fuschia, taupe) that are blessed with such an amazing gift, his personality has always come off (outside of his songs) as being just ****.
I dont find my Presidents voice creepy at all
