Chris Brown Doesn’t Like Black People *Updated*

I was on team, “Hate on Chris Brown” when he walloped Rihanna because my belief is that, contrary to what people want to believe, if she had been the one beating on him first, he would have either said that in his original police statement, during his trial, or on at least ONE of those interviews he did post drama.

In my eyes, there is a difference in beating a woman to a bloody pulp because you’re pissed and REACTING to someone beating on you and “losing it” – and with that said, I believe that Chris deserves everything that has happened to him but at this point, it’s time for healing, Sandra Mae!

He can’t be a woman beater for the rest of his life because of something he did when he was a teenager. I think the fact that he’s blackballed, that his album went styrofoam and he can’t do a gig for FREE translates to much money lost and that, along with counseling and community service has taught him a VALUABLE lesson – can we give this brother the benefit of the doubt and say, “He’s appeared to have learned a lesson, and even if he hasn’t the fact that he lost MILLIONS of dollars as a result of that few minutes of ignorance should be a reminder to NEVER hit another woman for the rest of his life!

How are you going to NEVER forgive Chris Brown for doing something as a teen, but you have no problem promoting T.I. who has sold drugs to black men AND women, promote an “event” celebrating Gucci Mane getting out of prison as if he’s coming home from COLLEGE – but you can’t seem to give Chris Brown a break after all of this time?

I believe Chris was DEAD a$$ wrong, but does he get a chance to recover from a mistake he made as a teenager at some point?

This would be a valid point if he hadn’t already ADMITTED to beating her, wouldn’t it? You would rather throw away your career, risk PRISON time, a felonious assault conviction, lose millions of dollars and throw away your career to keep from saying that a woman hit you? That’s a HUGE stretch of the imagination, isn’t it?

He already admitted to HITTING her, is there REALLY more shame in saying, “She hit me, so I beat her a$$” than in, “I’m an a$$hole, so I beat the $hit out of her?” – Chris chose to allow her to say that she NEVER hit him and contrary to popular belief, if she had, seeing where his career was going as a result of those statements coupled with the knowledge that, if she hit him and he hit her BACK it would TOTALLY change people’s perception of the events, him AND his career – he would have taken that opportunity to set the record straight.

So, it’s honor amongst abusers? I’d rather go to jail for beating your a$$ for no reason, than to simply say, she hit me and I lost my gat damn mind!

It NEVER came out that she attacked him, SHE didn’t say it and HE didn’t say it and they both had SEVERAL opportunities to do so. You’re talking about rumors that came out after the fact, but they both gave police statements after it happened, neither said she hit him then, Chris had MONTHS to say it after his initial statement to cops because the trial didn’t happen until WELL after his career was in question, AFTER the trial he went on Larry King – there is no FEASIBLE reason he wouldn’t have said, “she hit me”.

Are you REALLY suggesting that a man would rather be accused of being a vile, spineless woman abuser, than to say, “The b*tch, hit me, I lost my mind and whooped her a$$?” REALLY? On what planet does THAT happen?

WHERE is it more acceptable to simply be a man who abuses women than a man who tagged your a$$ because you got out of hand and tagged gun FIRST? Where?

I think it’s time to move on and give the boy a chance, but if the belief is that he hit her for no reason and HE had an opporunity to clear it up and hasn’t – then that’s his fault, isn’t it?
