Could Irene S. Be the Elusive Vera Baker?
Calm down, my post title is just a rhetorical question.
Since yesterday, my Inbox has been bombarded by emails from irate readers demanding that I take down a picture that every blog and tabloid newspaper has associated with the infamous Vera Baker — Barack Obama’s alleged mistress.
Interestingly, I have not heard a peep from Irene Schwoeffermann herself.
Irene S. is the woman misidentified by many as Vera Baker, the alleged mistress at the center of a cheating scandal that threatens to derail Barack Obama’s presidency.
A few readers accused me of “interrupting” Irene’s life by posting her picture, which is hardly likely since Irene S. is already a public figure, and surely she knows by now that her picture is everywhere.
It remains a mystery why Irene S. hasn’t reached out to the many blogs and tabloids that has posted her picture over the past two years. Maybe she likes all the attention?
At any rate, loyal reader John H. did a lot of digging last night and he came up with a trove of information on Ms. Irene — who shares a few coincidental similarities with the elusive Ms. Baker. In fact, their backgrounds are so similar that at one point we both thought she might even be Ms. Baker… Lol.
The similarities in their backgrounds include: both attended Howard University, and both worked for the Black Caucus (see picture of Irene S. above). which might explain how she got mixed up for Baker in the first place.
We still don’t have a clear photo of Baker since all of her pictures have been scrubbed from the Internet, and she’s been exiled to the Caribbean island of Martinique where she remains in hiding — at least until Obama is voted out of office in 2012.

Dang Sandra. You are having too much fun with this news. I couldn’t ever be a blogger because I receive no joy at the news that others have faults. I have no idea if President Obama had an affair with this woman or not but I find it hard to believe that the Republican Party didn’t use the information if it’s true. They wore out the Rev. Jeremiah Wright story so I know if they had proof of this, it would have been the October surprise. I’ve been hearing about this woman for at least a year now. If there is a picture of them entering a hotel together, that proves nothing. He’s a politician. She’s a fundraiser. Fundraising events are held at hotels. Big deal!
If it turns out to be true, so what? I can care less as long as the situation is in the past. We all have a past. Careful how you judge others’ mistakes because reveations of your stuff might just be around the corner.
Why hasn’t Barack or someone from his staff spoken out about this yet? Hmmm…

This story kinda reminds me of the hopla surrounding Michelle O’s “supposed” tape calling white people out their name. Sean Klanity claimed he had it in his possession and it would materialize right before the election. Yeah, I’m still waiting.
I need more people on this. I’m going with everyone else on this. If it was true, it would’ve materialized long ago. On to the next story.
Memo to some Black People: Not all Black folks co-sign on everything that President Obama. It is not an unpardonable sin to call the President on some of the ish that he (or his administration) does. Get over it.

It is highly unlikely that Irene S. is ‘Vera Baker’. Irene graduated from Howard back in ’04, and that is when this affair was to have taken place. She is simply too young to be ‘Vera Baker’. You want to act like this story is true, but where is the eveidence. No one even knows what this woman looks like, but yet she was with Obama?
This is laughable.
If you Google, you will see that the National Enquirer has retracted their statement about having or getting a copy of the video surveillance at the hotel. Once again, the gossip rag has made up a story and ran with it with no proof… LOL.. There is no story here, on to the next one..

The National Enquirer has not retracted anything. Why don’t you go to the NationalEnquirer.com and read the story for yourself instead of relying on left wing blogs for your news? Investigators are still searching for the video.

@Sandra, it’s all over the internet and growing. From blogs to yahoo, it states that the National Enquirer, has retracted that they have or was going to get video surveillance from the hotel. I never said they retracted the story , just the part where they were relying on video, which is their evidence. Without the video, it’s just another unsupported rumor from a gossip magazine which has a history of fabricating stories and trying to sell it off as a fact.

I understand the post, but at the same time, you put all this stuff out there, questioning this woman, when you know its not true. Why post something that has no merit? Its not about posting the pic of this woman, which is fine. But to suggest (however sarcastic) that its ‘Vera Baker’ is a little but too much.

@Attorney Mom, thanks but yes we did get the memo that not all black folks have signed off on Obama. THAT’S YOUR FREE CHOICE as an American. I am an Obama supporter though I don’t agree with everything he does. My question is why would Sandra even put Irene’s name out there like that if she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. This woman has the right to her privacy without some “gossiper” putting her out there like that. That’s downright evil!!

“Sites who reported we ‘retracted’ our story over the weekend are incorrect,” said Enquirer Executive Editor Barry Levine in an email this morning. “How can you ‘retract’ a story we’ve never published in print in the first place?” Levine explains that “on Friday, our web editor picked up a great story from our sister publication Globe Magazine … On Saturday, we simply edited down his original posting. The video line [about investigators looking for security footage of the liaison] was cut out — but it had nothing to do with the info being wrong.” Later the video line was re-inserted, but with the caveat that no such tape may actually exist. Now it appears that all they have is a limo driver who says he drove the woman, Vera Baker, to a hotel where Barack Obama was present.

It reads like an online newspaper. I did like the black background a lot better. This white is obviously extremely bright and well, newspaper like. Sandra’s yet evolving.
Sandra, why not use some of your photography as the back drop, as opposed to Ali? An eclectic mix of celebs, real and pseudo, you’ve snapped over the years as the backdrop may be more eye catching.
When I saw that your site was down for “2 hours” I was actually expecting your format to change to TMZ of the south with live video and paps getting off in the asses of celebs once they cross our state lines, ya know, ur very own street team chasing the entertainment news. Just thoughts.
